Is it possible with 16x7 rim? I'm due for some new tyres, and I want to know if anyone has fit 225/45 tyres on their car.
thanks
Aleks

225's would be a defect on your ride as more than an inch wider in rubber is a big no-no. Plus the rim is only 7"(175mm wide) so an inch of rubber hanging out each side of your rims is bad.
205/45 would be a good choice for extra grip
I run a 205/45 setup, its even MUCH better than the 215/45 setup I tried.
hey aleks! i am runnign 16x7 and i am using 205/45, dont think id go any wider than that mate! hope that helps
yeah go 205, I've got 215 and I have a feeling it'll scrub (when I slam it)

defiantely 205... 225 are like s commdores...
I'm also running 205/45, the passenger rear rubs on the inside edge of the upper wheel well guard. Strangely it doesn't do it if I don't have a passenger in the car and never does it with any other wheels.
yerr man
gotta civic eg...
205/50/16 on the rears rub on stock suspension...
dont do it!!!
