the idea is to use a b16 head on it for big power
basically bigger capacity = more torque........but the crank doesn't let it rev out as much (reliably)
HP = torque times by rpm (basically)
By using a 2 litre block and increasing the torque of the engine and a b series vtec head to allow the engine to rev higher quite simply you end up with more horsepower.
Wynode from what i have read with the correct rod/piston choice the rod/stroke ratio is close to optimal which denotes reliable high rpm operation as the r/s ratio dictates where the force is being placed on the cylinder walls.
Although an ITR crank is the best choice as Toda_AU has stated in previous posts.
Problems that people run into with high rpm reliablity are due mostly to the inherent weak casting/cylinder sleeves of the B20 block although that is at extremely high rpm.
