put a flatblade screwdriver between the hose and the pipe and sorta shimmy it off all the way around.
What kind of hoses? If you're talking smaller vac hoses etc then I just use a pair of pliers with little serrations and grip around the tube where it is over the barb or whatever it is and turn enough to "crack" it. Once it's like that it comes off easy. This can quite easily destroy older more brittle tubes though.
twist it to break the seal and then it will come off
pulling them just makes it harder.
like lowek says a flat screw driver does the trick, I have a special tool, it slike a screw driver with a bent pointy tip on the end of it, works well.
Use your hand to twist the hose a little so the rubber breaks its seal on the metal surface.
If the hose looks like it needs to be replaced, use a stanley knife to cut the sucker off!
or try adjustable spanner-clip ( i dont know the real name...but they are made to hold onto softer material for hoses etc) + a rag to protect the rubber.
yeah dude all these guys i have the idea just when u put one back on a little bit of rubber grease smeard inside will make it easyer next time but u must use rubber grease cause petroleum based greases will eat the rubber
Pull will cause the hose to crack.
Twisting will cause rubbed to rub off the outside onto your finger
Using a screw driver can cut and split the hose
Go get yourselve a set of these, $30 from Repco. Will make all your hose removing issues go away.
