Fuel Pressure Regulator Installation Question

Hey all just writing to ask you something.
i recently bought a new Fuel Pressure Regulator and for some unknown reason there was no instructions in the box, i have tried contacting the seller but to no avail.
What the problem is is adapting it to the Fuel Rail, there is no specific adapter and i am unsure of what to do? do i just connect it to the old Regulator? may sound silly but if i take it off there will be the obvious hole there.
I had a look on the Russell Connectors & Adapters Site but could not find what i am looking for
Please if you know what to do help me.
Or even better if you know where i can get an adapter for a B16A2 Fuel Rail i would greatly appreciate your help

yeah we had the same problem in one of my friends car. ended up buying a Sard adaptor that cost more than the fuel pressure reg :thumbdwn:

post a pic of your reg them we can help you
i got an aem on rail one but then relacted it anyways
i tapped and mounted it to the end of the rail

yeah dude,

a few pics will be nice,

it could just be a bolt off and bolt new one on type of job or
modify your old one to adapt to this one.

for some reason i cant access the photo's the reulator is A OBXR one, it came with two hoses, brakets, screws, etc but no adapter plate.
these are selling on ebay at the moment under fuel pressure regulator i am sure the picture will be there somewhere

Here's a pic of my old fuel rail and OBX reulator. I mounted it directly to the rail. Work ok but it needs to be mounted at the end as the hood hit it and busted the fitting.

Why do you need a new fuel regulator in the 1st place ? in most case's I don't recommended replacing the stock regulator even on heavily modified cars there just no point !!!

The only time I would go with a aftermarket regulator is on a boosted applications above 10psi of boost.

I got it at a really good price and i thought hey even if i keep it flowing at the stock level it had to ok maybe around 45psi couldnt hurt right.

I see so many people buy things because there cheap.. but are completely pointless !

Stock fuel pressure is 38psi, sure you could run 45psi. your car would
Consume more fuel
Cost you more to run
You would flow your plugs sooner
You would have more carbon built up on your engine,
And all of this would lead to decreased performance, due to running rich than required.

Sure you can do that, but why would you want to? because you brought a cheap regulator ?

I just read my Civic workshop manual to confirm the stock pressure and it tells me that for a D16Y motor the pressure is 260-310 or 38-46PSI and the pressure for a B16A is between 270-320 or 40-47PSI so by that running the regulator at 45PSI shouldnt do those things you have said.
I mean if we are talking about using more fuel wont installing Cams, etc do the same thing?
Yeah more power i know this as i am awaiting the install of these so a little bit more fuel being consumed isnt too much of a concern as this car isnt driven on a regular basis.
I just thought whilst getting it at a cheap price may i say $18.50 not $89.00 it may come in handy when i finally finish building the motor.
Each to there own i say so limbo dont be disheartened if anything think of this as a engine dress up.
i mean isnt that also a thing to consider there is nothing more i like than being able to open up a bonnet and people stare and say "wow whats?" that or "whats this?" and i need to dress my engine bay up because i hate the fact it hasnt been resprayed the same colour as the car but like so many things i guess S*%# Happens.
