just have a look on the side of your ecu. you should see it on the sticker in little writing. But yeah you should be OBD2a
The ECU you have if its a Australian ECU is a 37820 p75 Q02 - 9860199675 HG
its a obd2a ECU, with the Board type being a M1Y-C L5000-01 it contains no 5151 IC's and is a none vtec ECU... i have one in front of me now ;) its Application is useless for anything other than stock purposes.

As far as I’m aware there are zero "chip" upgrades commercially available for this ECU
sure you could get the surface mount OKI 341 Processor reprogram it up, and replace the MPU but this is not a feasible option, like I said, and I still stand by what I said, this ECU is only good for stock use. Nobody actively develops this technology.
oh ok now im confused. that says it would fit on a p75 ecu??

The P75 ECU there talking about a 94 to 95 ECU, yours is a 97 very very different.
its like comparing gold to dog poo. Im sorry that product will not work.

ahh damn... thanks for that man i woulda bought some wrong crap
hmm ive got a new question. if i was to upgrade to a crower 403 cam setup. how would i go about upgrading my ecu?
You need a full replacement computer, I of course only recommend Hondata for Honda’s ;)
Where in Australia are you.
