Civic Short Shifter
Hey guys i'm just in the market for a short shifter for my Civic. Search has been done but not what i'm looking for. Just seeing what short shifter you guys use/recommend. The obvious choice is the B&M shifters for quality. But then again you got the dual bend:-

So i'm just really confused which one to get with B&M & what the difference is. I've also heard about DC Sports as well... any help would be appreciated. Thanks!
btw i've read the review on the B&M shifter already, just wanna see what other people think too.

i would imagin that the straight one would be like ya stock one but with a shorter throw, the bent one would place it closer to you still with the shorter throw...

My stock shifter was slightly angled towards the driver.. not straight like the 2nd pic.
Stock shifter is similar to the dual bend shifter I've got.
I recommend you to get the dual bend over the straight as I have heard stories from people where they have to lean forward abit change gears with the straight unit. You can always get use to that after a while.

Yeah I was leaning towards the dual bend one as I have read some mixed emotions about the straight B&M shifter...

If you're going to get a short shifter I'd recommend you to get the energy suspension shifter bushings too. I've installed it today and noticed it has made my shifting more smoother. Whereas before, it was harder/stiffer moving the gearstick around to go into gears.

Oh ok , if you don't mind me asking, what's a energy suspension shifter bushing? And how much does it cost?

A friend bought one for his EG hatch and it was a curved one. $39 from e-bay and it is great! The throws are even and very short. Highly recommend it. It would be great even if it was $100

OK i'm gonna order a set of the bushings then grab a B&M short shifter kit as well. The curved ones...

nah it's same shit, dual bend. Entirely upto you, B&M cheaper.
