is this realistic.
hey guys, i've currently got a h23 engine in my prelude, 4th gen, stock at the moment.
As the enthusiast i am, :)
i was wondering if it would be realistic..or ideal...to perform an engine conversion on my car :D
i was thinking something along the lines, of an NSX engine? (engine code c30?)
feel free to input your ideas and comments,

yeah...ummm....NO
NO NO NO
well yes, but itll cost asmuch as an nsx
go a h22a, maybe even the s2k motor?
i would reccon go h22a, if u want better power go for the type s h22a jap spec.
-
it'll weight down the front of a car that is already fairly front heavy.. if your keen tho.. maybe suggest a cheaper vtec v6.. like legend or accord v6 engine
-
anything can be done with enough money and time mate......do some more research and u will soon find out how realistic it is and exactly what would be involved :p
stick with the h23 and boost it if u want a lil more power
-
-
why bother with k20?
-
because u have a 4th gen then im guessing u're living on a budget like the rest of us
and because its a 4th gen then im guessing its not a giant budget compared to those who mod s2000 or NSX
1stly it'll be near impossible to source a NSX engine. either the 3L or the 3.2L
even a H22A conversion would set you back close to what a 4th gen Si would cost.
it'll be much cheaper for u to sell the 4th gen Si and get either a 4th gen Si VTEC. or a 4th gen VTIR or a 5th gen VTIR. or even an integra type R.
-
hahah yeah, hrmm not sure about the k20... power wise wouldnt be the best choice. and for the money of installing that engine ... plusss itll be sitting so far forward, ur car balance will be even worse ..
h22a conversions only cost around 2.5 to 4k. unless the place installiing it is ripping u off.
if u want power, turbo ur current, or put a jdm h22a. otherwise i'd be looking at a honda v6 or something like that, for a bit more torque
-
yeah if theres anything the lude might need its a lil more torque, but hey turbo adds torque!!! lol
-
nsx engine in ur prelude ; possible=yes. realistic = no.
go with a h22a, 147 kw atf**
depends what kinda power your looking at, from the gains u'd have in a nsx engine looks ilek u want obselite power lol. why not build ur h23 and turbbo it?
-
alright thanks for input guys

the h22a makes 147Kw at the fly, not the wheels
