hey guys just wondering i have always been under the inpresion that the 89 had the same power as the 90 da9. However i was looking on redbook.com and it says that
89 has 103kw@6300rpm
90 has 96kw@600rpm
The torque level however is the same. Is this possible even though they have the same motor or do u think they have a different CPU?
got it the wrong way round.
90-91 had 96kw 92-93 had 103kw
had slight upgrades and breathed a lil better.. thats about it

I dont think redbook is going to be 100% accurate.
Many other sources will prove that.
its a mistake.. as freek said 89-91 is obd 0 series 1 LS..
92-93 obd 1 series 2 LS upgrade face and compression is bumped up a notch and a few minor tweaks to put out 10 more hp

its pretty simple....92-93 are OBD1, whereas the earlier models were ODB0...
would explain why kal thinks my 89 is faster than his 90 :p
