Grounding points for Pivot Raizin

Hey guys, I just got my Pivot kit and am looking to install it later today. The instructions that came with the kit look pretty straightforward and also quite detailed. Only thing is i'm not sure where exactly around those parts to hook the cables - cylinder head, alternator, distributor, body earth and bulk head? I know where most of those parts are but where on those parts should I ground them?

Anyway can anyone who has installed a grounding kit in a DC2 post some pics of their engine bay please. I just don't wanna short anything or hook the cables to the wrong places. :eek:

Hehe freaking postman buzzed me at around 7.30am this morning when I was planning to get up later today. Nevermind, saved me a trip to the post office :p

Anyway i've installed mine following the intructions as close as possible. I think the hardest part to connect to would be the alternator as it is somewhat hidden under all the other parts. While i've noticed smoother acceleration, my revs still jump a little and the dash backlight dims a little when I press both the power window buttons. I'm guessing this could be due to the lack of grounding for the alternator?

Hey proton, thanks for the pic! Since you've taken pics why not just post them as I think someone else might find them useful. I'm not sure but from the pic it looks like you didn't connect one to your distributor?

Proton, for the ground wire from the rocker cover to the chassis, give it a little more length. When you accelerate hard, the engine tilts a bit to the back due to the torque and that might pull on the cable.

Pic of grounding to side (Sorta) of distributor - Its that nut to the side of the distributor where the blue cable ends in the pic. I connected the main cable from the negative batt terminal to the nut on the firewall then used another cable to connect to the distributor

Pic of grounding to intake manifold (plenum) area - Right smack in the middle of the intake close to the head there's a nut there, don't worry, its not that hot there and the cables can take it, to neaten it a bit used heaps of mini cable ties

Pic of connection at battery neg terminal, this is sorta tricky coz everything gets jumbled up if you don't plan ahead which cable goes where

Now stretch the longest cable all the way round the passenger side of the engine bay and connect it to the front where the stock grounding to the head used to be, then connect the shorter one to the head, but as aaronng said, maybe you'll wanna give yourself some slack

That's it and in reponse, I'm not a Malaysian but my first car car was a Ported and polished Mitsu powered Green Proton Wira with extractors, exhaust all the way through, CAI, KYB shocks and springs, lightened flywheel and a lightened crank pulley. My mom now drives it in Singapore : (

Also I'm helping a friend set up his grounding (Non- Pivot but essentially the same thing) for an LS integra, if anyone needs tips let me know and I'll post up some pics

certainly notice some improvements; better throttle response, brighter lights and smoother idling.

pretty straight forward installation. though grounding the alternator point was a f**king bitch. had to get under the car squeezing my hand through gaps to ground it. was worth it though.

Hey hui! Could you post some pics where you grounded your alternator? I've grounded all the essential points needed except for the alternator as its virtually impossible to access from the top. Did you have to jack the car up or anything like that? Cheers man!

de_crulz: yes you have to jack the car up to get access to the alternator. bitch of a job.

Just curious you guys see if theres letters at the bottom if the consensers (the few silver barrels which look like batteries). are they letter 'K' or 'X'?

hope you guys got 'K's on them cos 'X's are fake products. good luck!
