Hey Guys,
My sisters Integra VTIR has a problem with the ABS. It started a while ago, and used to make buzzing noises with the ABS light turning on when we started the car. After a while (1 minute) the buzzing noise would go away and the light turned off.
We realised that the ABS fluid was empty so topped it up, but the noise remained. Now the ABS doesn't work, we get the same noise for 1 minute and the light remains on. Honda want $90 and hour just to look at it :shock:
Anyone have the same problem? Any suggestions? Auto sparkies say they don't want to touch the Honda stuff and recommended Honda.

Jump the pins, interpet it, then see if you are confident of fixing it.

Stupid question....but did you fill the ABS fluid up to it's max level? Also you might need to reset the ecu after refilling....just a thought.

My CRX did that (still does). If the light doesnt go off at the start, i just pull the ABS fuse out for 5 secs and put it back. That resets the ABS ecu. Then the light goes off and ABS works. But usually happens again in about a weeks time
so its only a temporary fix

I get that noise during the first few seconds when i start my car, but it goes away and every thing works fine after that. So i always thought this is normal.

if your brake fluid in the ABS reservoir ran out you would have got air in the ABS system, just topping it up will cause the brake fluid to froth up, the pump cant compress the fluid into the accumulator coz of the air in the system. so it makes a milkshake of the brake fluid causing the pump to over run either till pressure builds up or till it logs a code.
I bet you got a fault code in your ECU relating to Accumulator or Pump.
when you first start your car its normal for the pump to run for a few seconds as the ecu will trigger the solenoids and make the pump run as self diagnostics
just Bleed your ABS SYSTEM then your Brakes, reset the ECU problem should go away

there is a hose in between the radiator engine and gearbox...check the inner parts..if it has lots of oil...means leak...thats all...will cost you bout..ermm..2-300 bucks to change it including workmanship..
