pgclee, theres not one size that is best for any head, its the size that it needs to be for an engines air requirements at a certain rpm if u know what i mean.
not only that, but u gotta have a size where the valves will still seat properly, and also the other side, whether its the inlet or outlet/exhuast manifold that must be match ported so that u see the gains from the actual headwork.
Hope that helps. BTW, a flow bench is the common instrument that is used to do ported heads, and if ur going to do it, do it at a place where there is a flow bench otherwise dont go there.
