port and polish

hey guys...few questions to ask...

about port and polish the cilinder head...how much bigger should i go?
2mm or more?

or is there any secret of getting hp and smoother engine?...

pgclee, theres not one size that is best for any head, its the size that it needs to be for an engines air requirements at a certain rpm if u know what i mean.

not only that, but u gotta have a size where the valves will still seat properly, and also the other side, whether its the inlet or outlet/exhuast manifold that must be match ported so that u see the gains from the actual headwork.

Hope that helps. BTW, a flow bench is the common instrument that is used to do ported heads, and if ur going to do it, do it at a place where there is a flow bench otherwise dont go there.

tanghy....i don't think i need any kinad stuf to tell me am i running rich or not...when ya drive your car...160km on city drive...250km/h on highway...i think..that is call running rich...and also...when you stop at the traffic light with your window down...you can smell the petrol....that is soo bad...killing my lungs dude...
