good stuff mate. how much is this all gona cost? didnt expect the FD to cost that much from kia?
Including parts from honda, new shaft bolts coz the others are siezed im looking at a grand (cash) for installation.
man thats cheap. i paid heaps more for mine:(
How much was ure installation worth??
yeah actually it was probably similar all up. i paid about $700 for the 4.44, installation was possibly about 300. I coudln't tell you for certain as I bought a kazz diff + install at the same time.
definately a good bang for buck mod.
Just to be clear, the gear set was $700 cost price.($920 RRP) Installation involves $600 to remove and refit the diff, $300 for fitting the gear set, and about $100 in miscellaneous parts. Cryo treatment was $100 and the Yellow box was $140. All up a little under $2k.
Hi mate
So how are you liking the new gears so far?
Is it true that it makes the car feel really torquey?
And when u travel 100kmh with 6th gear what rpm u on?
I feel like getting some gears when I read about them, just not 100% sure whether i should or not...
yes the car does "feel" more torquey, it also "feels" this way b/c performace is enhanced. I swear by em, i could never go back to 4.10. @ 100km im just under 4k rpm. I say get them and dont look back.
Man Id love to sit in ur car to see what the car is like with the flywheel and gears etc
really tempted now, but the gear that you bought was the last one in the country yea? would they order one in specifically?
Did you get them from kia btw? im just wondering if i could get them from honda as i might get discounts if i get it from honda?
And what exactly is 'cryo treated' ?
Kia can order the part from korea at no extra cost, it should take max 3-4 weeks to get it here,no big deal. The reason i got it from Kia is because only the sportage has a ratio of 4.77 that suits the s2000. No point getting it from honda,it aint gonna do shit. Its the same ratio u have at the moment 4.10, it would be a very expensive needless purchase.
cryo treatment

Im happy to answer any q's but u might wanna jump on S2ki.com and read up a bit more on gears, it should also help in making ure decision.
