I believe CL7 is the Euro-R with the K20A (DC5R Engine) and Transmission (with LSD) from the DC5R. CL9 is everything else.

CL7 means the Accord Euro with a 2.0L engine.
CL9 means it has a 2.4L engine.
In addition to the "CL" code, there is actually an additional code that not many know about.
ABA-CL9: 2.4L FWD (147/140kW)
DBA-CL7: 2.0L FWD (114kW)
ABA-CL8: 2.0L 4WD (112kW)
ABA-CL7: 2.0L FWD (162kW EuroR, manual only)
I've seen a few references to the 4WD model around abouts. Is this JDM only? I'm guessing the system isn't designed to handle the power/torque of the EuroR or CL9. Shame really... a 4WD Euro with decent power would be quite a novelty! :cool:Quote:
