Has anyone used this on the new civics? Planning to buy a set.
Do the beams project onto the road with cut off points or do they beam unevenly and blind on coming traffic?

I've used one and the cut off points is nice, it gives much improvement over the stock bulb.
I've also turned my headlight adjuster down just a bit so it won't blind incoming traffic
read in other forums that the civics with OEM HID have different reflectors(understandably).
US Civic owners have upgraded theirs with simple plug ins with no problems.
Not ADR compliant here I gather.
there's no problem with the cut off. i got one on mine. it's pretty good for reflector headlights.
just wondering, isnt hid ilegal? do police care about it? im scared to get one
so far the police never done anything about it in my personal exp.
i've been using in my 2 previous cars.
NZ 06/07 sports Civic comes with OEM HID headlights standard. Because they get the "Made in Japan" cars.
I would think that so long as Honda has OEM HID lights for these civic's I think it would be perfectly legal. Not sure about whether it would pass ADR here but bottom line is it is OEM and I personally think it would pass ADR anyway because it has the 'left' reflector design, suited for left hand drive.
If anyone wants these (OEM HID headlights) I can organise a set shipped here from NZ. Just PM me. :)
nah.. it won't be legal.. as HID will need jet washer.. auto-level..
but... who cares?? as long as you set the lights not to be too high..
got HID on my previous car and everytime I got pulled over for RBT or other problems, they never ask about my HID...
Police here are a lot nicer than the one we have in Indo, they will try to find anything to get money out of us (HID, rides height, tint, etc)
^_^
Generally, HID's are illegal if the car didnt come with HID's from the factory. Even if you add levelers and washers.
If you use projectors with your aftermarket HID's then you may get away with it since the cut-off would be similar to Halogens. But if you use non-projector headlight assemblies, the HID light is going to glare out at all angles and blind others, including cop cars opposite you - and you dont want that to happen.
Plus if you have an accident and the other party blames your headlights, your insurance company wont cover your car, since:
1) You didnt specify the modification to your insurance company.
2) You have an illegal modification.
