hey all, i recently got my car tunes by Ovaboost performance, i got the AEM "stinger"
my car- b18a
Crower stage 2 Cams, Valve Springs + retainers, Cam Gears on a freshly built b18.
K&N intake + full exhaust
Fuel Pressure Regulator

i was not happy with the result of the 91FWKW but yeh not much i can do :P
i upped the rev cut to 7.5k and it idles around 1k (a bit much coz u cant hear the lumpiness of the cams but yeh)

Thats 2 Hp more than what my B18c put out on same dyno...
Add a skunk2 Pro manifold and get it over 130hp:)
Easy 14s!!!! as is now but..
Time to take it to Plex!!!
Micks dyno reads pretty low compared to others...
Take it xspeed and c what u get there!!!!

Ye numbers aren't everything.How does it drive though?

next step? i dunno, ive got suspension already done with coilovers, strut bars, sway bars, 17's etc. Audio is done. outside is done with new paintjob and for power its gonna be allot more expencive from this point (since i got the minor things done already) maybe the intake mani, maybe turbo, might leave it for a bit but yeh open to possibilities...
and ill take it down to the plex one day soon heh

Just a few things.. If you can set a target for the power achievable and what you would like to aim for then work backwards to obtain it. I'm not promoting here, but Adrian from TODA is a very good sounding board. I know this may not be within your current realm, but if you really want big plans and easy HP, look into a K20 conversion. My current B18c7 lays down approx 130+ FWKW but I would have been better off with an engine conversion and then spending the money on remaining mods.
If you do choose to keep your engine, header, exhaust, computer, injectors, flywheel, then maybe block work would be some of the first steps.
Hope this adds a few more sense to the .02...

k20 is an expensive swap, and then there is the rego issue.
Economics of it all...
Cams and headwork 1.5k
Computer 1k
blockwork incl pistons full rebuild ~3k
Gearbox incl FD 2k
Headers 2k
Intake (mugen) 1k
To me these are very rough but thats around 10k. K20 conversion 8k. Add a couple of grand to that and your power figures eclipse that of the B series. You have a better engine and a better tuning platform. To put it simply. Put 5k into a k20 and 5k into a b series, I gurantee the K would out peform the B.
As for Rego, a compliance plate should be able to fix that, I know it does here in QLD.
I guess what I'm getting at....
If you want 130 FWKW, be prepared to spend close to 10k
Want more power than 130, invest in a K....
PPl have spent alot more getting K20s into there hondas..
If all u needed was 8k trust me i would have done it ages ago...
if k20 conversion costs 8k, I would be doing one every month...
