i can remove the passenger side ones but i cant get the driver side one off. its got all the latches for boot etc on that side too. any ideas anyone? trying to get an rca down that side.

u talkin about the cover on the pillars or the plastic on the actual doors?
if ur talkin about the door then i can give u a detailed description on it, since i have been there n done it
if your talking about the door trim, i know how to do that, im talking about the piece of plastic that is right next to your foot when you drive, not where the pedals are but where the door is. you step over it when you hop out. the plastic that surrounds the boot latches etc.i know how to get the bit that covers the bottom of the seat belt off. did u rewire your speakers too?
I ended up removing the kick panel and lower rear quarter panel. But to remove the lower rear quarter panel you need to remove the rear centre panel in the boot and the rear speaker cover, not to mention you need to undo the seat belt anchor bolt. I can't remember if you need to remove the upper rear quarter panel or not. If you do you need to undo the upper anchor bolt for the rear seatbelt.
I was wiring up my whole car so it wasn't a big deal removing all the panels. It's a bit excessive to remove every other panel in your car if you only want/need to remove the door sill panel though.
Then again, there is the grunting and groaning method where you flex the panel and swear a lot, hoping you don't break or scratch the hell out of the panel or any other adjoining panel.
I've learned my lesson, hence the long winded method.
well i ended up removing the same panels as you did as i am wiring up my car too. its still a b***h to do thought. particularly to put back, mine doesnt fully fit be in perfectly anymore, dont know why, maybe i have wires going under the sills now. how do you remove the rear seat? i need to find somewhere to ground it to. u need to remove rear shelf, i think, what next? i tried pulling the bottom cushion up but there is a hook/latch thing which i cant seem to undo, looks like the latch is at 90degrees to hold the seat inplace. what screws do i need to undo for the seat? i am having trouble with that.Quote:

Do you have hatch of sedan? I have a hatch and to remove the rear seats there is a bolt holding the seat cushion in place. It is located in the gap between the seat and backrest. If you're looking at the middle seat it is just to the right of the centre. I think it is a 10mm bolt from memory. Once you've undone that bolt you should be able to lift up the seat cushion from the back, pulling towards you (remember you're in the cabin part of the car). As for the backrest, firstly remove everything from the boot, remove the carpet that is connected to the back of the seats, fold the seats down. You will be able to see where they hinge. There is a black spacer click on the rod that inserts into the anchor point. Pull that clip off. You should now be able to move the backrest cushion to the side and out from the anchor/hinging point. This is all from memory so there may be somethings I have forgotten.

In the pic above you can see where I've run my wiring. If you look in the centre and on the sides where the back seat would normally be you can see the hinging points for the backrest cushion.
As you can see I've tried to limit the amount of wiring I ran down the driver's side sill as there is an existing wire harness from the car there and I did not want to run my RCA signal cables past all the car's existing wiring that runs underneath the drivers side dash.
