ive already done a search but cant seem to find what im looking for, basically as the title states i want to do a d16 conversion into my eg civic gl (carby) so was wondering what was needed for me to do this, parts etc. The reason why im doing the d16 is because it was my first car, timing belt went and bought a dc2 so i want a d16 turbo project for the civic.
i think it would be similar to a bseries as you gotta change your fuel lines

yes you need efi fuel tank, efi car wiring loom to convert it to efi.
Grab yourself a set of fuel EFI fuel lines as well. Rest of the running gear should fit right up.

yeah well because my mates got an eg vti and he was thinking of taking out his motor because he wants to drop a k into it, and because he would need alot of different parts, if he gives me what i need for my gl then i just basically need a turbo kit?

twin turbo nah man not going to that full extent because its prob goin to be my sisters car later on since ive got the dc2 but if i like the drive of the turbo d16 i might just keep it to myself :p
turbo kits are fairly cheap these days can be done well for under 5k. when ur doin the engine conversion make sure u dont skimp on parts and quality. Take your time and do it right the first time. Eg is a great starting shell and the options are endless. i thinlk the worsed part of the conversion is going to be the carb - > EFI but there are a few threads on here that can help with that and depending where u live there are members that are willing to help.

You will need to have the crossmember removed so you can pull the old lines out. Your brake lines will be a pain in the ass getting in the way. May be easier to disconnect them from the prop valve and pull them off with the old fuel lines, then when you get the EFi lines just use the brake lines that are tied up with that. Upto you really.. Thats just for ease.
You will also need to pull the dash out so you can replace the underdash harness. Sounds like a hell of a lot of work.. then again your planning quiet a big project/swap so no biggie.

Your mate will need to keep his tank and lines if going a K-series so you will need to purchase them. Will cost somewhere up around $500 +/-. All depends. I paid approx $200 for harness and fusebox. approx 200 for tank, i dont have the lines yet though.
