K20 and AC Removal

I'm in the process of stripping my DC5R and have a quick question about the AC compressor and drive belt. Now seeing as the DC5 didn't have AC standard ex Japan can I just remove the compressor and pick up a smaller drive belt to suit?

Think there a replacement pulley for it and shorter belt
