does it matter if i drive the tank out? keeping careful not to rev too hard etc etc? or is my engine going to blow up?

it should be fine... the ECU will retard the timing... BUT the user manual states a minimum of 95RON... so take it easy this tank... and just top her up the next fill with Optimax/Synergy 8000/Ultimate.
is there a certain amount of octane that needs to be to met for EK4?

if i fill up with BP GOLD ultimate, what will happen? better performance?
just start using premium unleaded petrol
of better yet the 98 octane onces

unless you have a missing sticky it would say what type of fuel you should fill up -> located behind the fuel door flap

If you stay under 4000rpm you should be fine.
what if he puts in 98 octane, will it kinda mix to create something inbetween? haha.

u guys are like adement that he needs to stay under 4000rpm seeing as he is using 91oct. does anyone actually know the facts of this? or the negatives of this? the theory behind higher ron?

...your ECU still thinks its running with 96+octane fuel...so in the danger of leaning out high revs etc I would drive like miss Daisy ( ie SLOW and dont "veetech yo!") until empty - THEN fill it up as normal :)

i use 91octane Shell or BP,98 is toooooo expenisve these days.
