Radiator Advice
Hi im looking at buyng either a:
- Koyo DC2 Full Length Aluminum Radiator AUD$695.00
- Mishimoto DC2 Full Size Aluminium Radiator AUD$525.00
Can anyone recomend which one to buy. And shouldi opt for a Half Size radiator instead? Any pros and cons?
Cheers everyone

If you can fit/maintain having a full size radiator in there, then get a full size.
I'd go the Koyo. I think its that little bit thicker and the finish of the Koyo is very nice.

If you just want to run your car cooler, then go with the aftermarket radiators.
If your just looking at replacing your old one because you did something wrong with it, get the OEM DC2R radiator, it will save you heaps of money.
Btw, agree with DLO01, go with the Koyo radiator

I have a Koyo in my DC2R.
If your looking to track your car, the radiator is a great investment. If it's for daily, stock is fine.
You will need to find a 10 -12 inch, thinner radiator fan to clear the headers (I'm running Toda Headers) when you install this radiator though.
There is no point in running a half size radiator. Rather use a full size.
Pros:
* Lighter weight
* Better cooling properties once car is moving
* Looks better - if that's what your going for.
Cons:
* Takes up more room in engine bay
* When driving in traffic, and just sitting there, the radiator acts like a heat sink (being aluminium) and heats extremely quickly. - For daily driven, stock is fine
* Need to spend more money on thinner fan.
* Easier for a rock to damage the fragile radiator.
Hope that helped a little?

ok thanks everyone...
might just go the stock radiator again then,
does anyone know what these are worth from honda?
Cheers

New from Honda? Probably an arm and a leg.
Give them a call and find out. Then decide, new, aftermarket or start searching for a 2nd hand oem.
-
Ask JDMYARD if they have any in stock.
I remember them telling me they had some brand new ones in stock.

probably best get a after market one as its probably cheaper and would perform better..
although i find the oem one more then perfect on the track and the street....

will do some enquiries tommorow. thanks for the help everyone
