so is this the most potent mix?
you're buying two separate products which will = $1700 approx for maybe 1kw gain differential... just get the moogen.
I think i will stick to the cheaper option, hey have you guys heard about pipercross intakes, they seem to be pretty popular in UK and the US. They say that these intakes are used in WRC cars and I checked on their website, they do have it for teg R as well. :confused:

both the ARC and j's racing is good.
ive tried all 3.
the ARC cost about twice as much as the J's racing...
both bling bling lots, but for the j's racing intake. you need to make a cold air box.
I want a mugen intake but mugen is expensive :(
is it really worth it?
hey flyryd, have u got a pic of ur j's racing with cold air box?
i too, have been wondering - what is it like to drive around with a j's racing with exposed pod, especially with summer coming, will heat soak be evident, as like all other exposed pods? reason i wonder is because most setups i seen have no box or shield??!
keep your stock box and get a drop in filter and run some pipe to the end of box... same.
cost benefit analysis:
drop in filter = 185 (spoon) or 145 (trust)
cold air piping = 10 (bunnings)
sunday arvo = nice project removing resonator
look on drivers face with mugen intake when you overtake him down the straight = priceless hahaha
btw mugen intake = 1k +
i had custom cold air piping ceramic coated and apexi filter in open engine bay with no heat shield - no worries.. no heat soak evident...Quote:

I read the manual (actually some1 translated and read it TO me) and it sez that it takes the 'vacuum' effect behind the headlights (as confirmed by some1 else on this forum)
benefits: throttel response and it sounds cool
cons: when i have to change over to the foam filters they;re like fking 130 bucks per side....so x2 for top and bottom filters that 260 odd bucks
