u might want to do calculation in regards to your inner spacing (whether itll hit your shocks/sturt/etc or not) because the wheels "dishing" inwards lol, but gee thats sure a VERY high offset.
Um you want lower offset *waves*
For an em1 +32 should do just fine
I think lower you'd need a camber kit
Remember the lower the offset the wheel is pushed towards the fender. The higher the offset the wheel is placed closer to the sussy.
Also you gotta take into consideration the width and diameter of the wheels.
But yes if you want the wheels to fill the guards nicely have a lower offset and I THINK +32 should do that just fine without to much camber issues
would it hit my struts? i just wanted the whee to go inside the fender a bit. also it says the rims are for civic. 17x7.5 4x100 +50.
cheers
mate, i dont think thats possible
ur getting wheels that are at least 2inches wider than normal
so they need to stick out a little more so it doesnt hit any thing on the inside section
ur getting wider wheels and pushing they further in....not good IMO
find out the recomended cars for that wheel, i dont think civic is one of them
i c wat you mean. i have +40 on my car now 17x7. and it sits close to the strut.
does +50 mean the wheels is gna move 5cm in more towards the suspension strut?
i dont know exactly how much, but it will move in closer, and ur wheels are getting wider
so its getting closer in 2 ways, higher offset and wider wheels
so yes it will get closer to alot of things id imagine, not just 1 strut
and ur current setup is ideal, try and find 17x7 +40 wheels that u like, 17x 7.5 is too wide for a civic, IMO, though u could again get a lower offset to compensate, but then they may start hitting ur guard when u lower.....
hey thankz for your reply guys. ill try and see if the supplier has fit these wheels on a civic before. +40 to +50 is like 10mm isnt it? so its not much.
i hope i can fit these. let me know if im right about the measurement.
cheers
1 CM in wheels does make a huge difference.
hey how does 10mm spacers sound? LOL
are they illegal in NSW ?
there should be a sticky about offset
too many n00bs
watever then
