after my gf vomiting in the car yesterday, I have discovered today that I have a 3 cm scarch on my door after I shopped in the shopping centre. It wasn't a big scarch nor it made any holes. But it left a silver line on the door and it is hard for me to forget about it. Do u guys think I could get rid of it by waxxing it? or is there any type of touch up pens or something like this? (my jazz is black).

being black, you can always use a black marker to cover it up. but if you get really close, you'll see the different black tone.
second option is to buy a touch up paint. and apply it very carefully. otherwise its blotted here and there and it will look messy.
third option is to cut and polish. will get rid of it straight away (judging from what you said its not deep at all)
fourth option (if you're a baller) just respray the whole door LOL
Sorry for asking a noob question, what do u mean by cut and polish? does it mean by just waxing it by myself? or do i need to bring it to some polishing shop to do it?
cut and polish is usually done by a car detailer by using some kind of a blade (cutting the first layer of the paint and get rid of all the scratches and the build ups on your paint).
after its done, your car will be very2 smooth.
but in saying that, some people do it themselves cos they know how to and the have the equipment.
is it going to be costy? what do u recommend if it was you? would u get a marker? or touch up paint? or to cut and polish?
I have looked up on internet for the honda touch up paints, read elsewhere on the forum about I should apply it using a tooth pick. those paints seem quite cheap. Do I have to get them from a Honda dealer?
Or would it be better to cut and polish?

Yea I am in Melbourne, I will read up more and see what I should do
big scarch nor it made any holes, try wet 2000 sand papers and polish
because this is how the car painted, primer,base coat, clear coat
prolly your scratch only went through clear coat
cut and polish is done with cutting compound and rotary buff,best done by experienced operator as u can friction burn paint finish if u dont know what u are doing:eek:Quote:
