Installing gauges on a-pillar

Hey guys just thought i ask is it legal to install gauges on the a-pillar??? thanks in advance for your help.

no, its not legal.

only illegal if the guage is attached to the dash and is higher than the highest point

e.g the top of the speedo and tacho surround *cluster*

get the cluster holder instead

it holds two 2" gauges and is legal

well i got a double a-pillar can some1 clarify if it is 100% legal in qld?

not it is not legal in queensland~anything higher than dash is a "distraction". i usually put it in the cup holders and on top of AC vents

or get double din console if you got eg and use one of them for gauges

Here's what I have for my gauges as I'm not keen to put a double din in atm, these go for $50ish not too bad for 2" gauges

are those a direct fitment for the eg hatches?

Remove your AC controls and put them in there instead.

^^^ haha only works if you have no air con. or are happy to have it on 1 setting forever. i got pulled over a while ago and i asked the cop about the legality of my a-pillar gauges, he said they were fine as long as they were a matte colour (ie no chrome) and didnt obstruct your view...

there's alot of EG owners runnin no air con.

I just assume people aren't running it now lol

i'd take mine out if i could, but i seriously wouldnt know where to start. the only thing i use it for is to de-fog in winter
