So as has been written everywhere.. rear disc conversions for 5th and 6th gens are an easy fix given the RTA is shared between these platforms, and its virtually a bolt on affair.
However I have been having a hard time finding info on what OEM components can be thrown together to get a good upgrade for the front of an Aus ED...
So question is... is it possible to get EK4 front calipers and rotors on the ED, and heres the catch... using parts from australian delivered civics/tegs?

the rotor size difference between the ED and the TEG is significant.

Thanks Snoop..... yeah was thinking that much with the DA teg stuff.. what exactly was changed over for that?
Still was wanting an option to go to the DC teg/EK - 262mm/10.3" rotor.
alternatively, you can do what i did to my ed.
head to ebay, you can pick up a set of pbr xbg semi metallic brake pads for the front + slotted (optional drilling) brembo rotors for $160 shipped. i rang up and sent pictures to brembo and they confirmed that what i received was a genuine brembo spare part.
the only problem you might have is that you have to tell them you need 19mm thick rotors, or they'll send you 22mm thick rotors, which = caliper anchor grinding on an ed.
but if you've got a bit of money to spend, you can get a jdm 11inch rotor + caliper conversion for around $600-700 shipped.
There's a wealth of information on various Honda sites around the world on brake upgrades. Too much for me to make a quick list here.
However, I've just upgraded the rear of my '91 Hatchback (ED) from drums to discs. This includes a rear swaybar. I have just got all the bits to upgrade the front as well.

I've replaced the front discs with slotted DBAs otherwise everything else is used.

I'm planning a complete writeup but apparently I don't have enough rep or points or whatever to do that.
PS. The rotors in the photo above and my DBAs are 262mm. You can actually go bigger to 282 but that requires a bit of mix and match (Accord Wagon calipers/Prelude rotors) plus some drilling/machining that any shop should be able to do.

Could you do us a favour if you have the ED front knuckles still around... could you measure the difference in length of the upright bit that connects to the upper A arm between the ED and the DA.
I'm wondering about the effects on geometry (mainly camber) if there is a significant difference.
I can measure but it's been done before. The difference is about 1/4" I've read (between the Teg and the Civic) but I'll confirm that. People who've done this setup change have reported no problems and difference is minimal. There are other factors at play here that would exert more influence than the slightly longer knuckle arm. ;)Quote:

Another option is the wilwood big-brake kit, which was around the grand mark for the fronts.
