could well be ur clutch if the revs are rising but nuthin else is happening.
clutch slipping?
sounds like slipping clutch to me.....
try driving in gear 4 at around 60 and floor it. see if it does the same thing.
if it does its slipping clutch
lets all join the club...lol...clutch slipping!!!!
A few ways of checking but the main one would be either 3rd, 4rth or 5th gear cruise between 60-80 then floor it if it over revs then tries to catch up change the clutch...
trie dit on the way home and and the way to work slips in 3rd so i backed of n eased on again seemed ok been limping it everywhere now , good xcuse for getting to work late and leaving early cause 'i dont wanna hold up traffic' lol thanks fellas now i gotta find a clutch my sohc is pretty stock haha any good reccomendations? i found a exedy sports clutch probably last longer than an oem one might get that saw one for 230 .....
the problem with throwing the sports clutch in, is that it can cause more damage than the oem... to the gearbox that is, better to put oem in....
just go with oem
I've put in exedy heavy duty clutch in my eg and no probs yet, been in there around 2 years or so now
engine speed increases with no increase in vehicle speed. clutch slip.
possible reasons:
*worn clutch plate
*weak diaphragm spring
*clutch plate is oil soaked by leaking rear main seal
warped pressure plate or flywheel
taken from haynes service manual (civic 92-95)
maybe check it out first before buying a new clutch. whats the kms in odometer?
