do u guys go hard for 4 tyres or hard in the front, soft at the back ?
im on 2/3
harder at the rear.
Different for each brand. Heck, different for the same brand and same model because of manufacturing variances.
not to mention doesnt matter what damper settings u run, if you're in sydney.
experimenting to find the best setting to fit ur needs. generally i go stiffer for the rear, atm with my tein ss, i have it hardest setting at the rear and about 4 clicks lower for the front. i find it good for syd roads and handling,
My dampers are set on "fast".
Just find a setting that feels good. Adjustable dampers are a joke, most people have no idea what they are doing with them.
My koni's are set on "firm"
Isn't the answer obvious? You keep fiddling until it does what you want! If you don't know what you want then you're a capitalist consumer pig. Simple.
Edit: Near max front, max rear for me. I found these settings by adjusting the front slowly up until fast transitions were good, all whilst upping the rear to keep it neutral on turn-in.
on my tein ss im running 8 front 10 rear. its nice for just cruising around
koni yellows softest all round
400/300lbs front/rear springs
205/50/15 tyres front 36psi rear 33psi
comfy for sydney roads :)
about 25-30% front, and 50% rear on koni yellows....but i have weak springs... only about 280/220 (F/R)..... running 40/36 psi(F/R) on 195/60/15.
ride is pretty decent, comparable to my mates stock lancer and mazda3...
Andy yes Sydney roads..suck balls...bottomed out 2day on a bloody freeway...cause of a "road plate ahead "
