Yellow is nice yo...
Not many are around...
& yeah white is nice too & not many around aswell lol...
hah yea yellow is nice and rare.. i prefer white :P *jizzes*
yellow is great gets pretty dirty though
yea, any bright plain colours will show dirt pretty well..
but then again yellow is like fast isnt? :P faster then red? hahaha jk
white is the besttttttttttttttt
i would love a yellow s2k =[
white with red leather...but im biased hehe. yellow looks good when its done right. if its a good price and the cars in good condition why not. u wont regret it either way
just get a silver one and re-spray in voodoo mica =D
*nods* yellow still looks very good..
can't go wrong with yellow :D
hey boys, damn went to check out the car today. Looks like it's been resprayed. Owner is lying to my told me it hasn't but over spray is seen all over! not too happy. ahwells gotta keep looking! white/ yellow! =D
does it matter what others think? go with your heart man.
yeah thanks ncmx, i will. just don't see many yellow around and wanted to see what people thought. truthfully b4 i saw the colour i thought it would b ugly, but it's actually a nice colour.
I was unsure on yellow at 1st always wanted black, but i love it, rare colour and stands out
hahah rare colour that stand out =D exactly what i want ... =D heheheh
Hey man, I recently purchased a Yellow S2k in sydney after searching for a white one for a while. And trust me, yellow turns heads like no tomorrow. Got quite a few ppl asking me to put my roof down to see who was driving it haha :D

That's mine and I absolutely love it!
As my sig says, buy the car and not the colour ;D
lol! looks very nice mate but i really really really don't want silver!
at least you know what you don't want. LOL
I dont think anyone actually wants silver, people just end up with it lol :p
i think white is the best for honda car !! Black & yeloow also good !
hahaha ludecrs thats soo true... was gonna settle 4 a silver one but thought about it again and decided to wait! btw blue is also very nice.... soooo conclusion... all colours are nice except silver? =D
zzz damn.. looks like i will get a silver one and respray it....
Thats bullshit. Ive had 3 Honda's in silver. When you polish the car and wax it. Silver comes out awesome. Very metallic look. Silver matches with black really good as well.
Silver w/ Red Interior & Matt Black Rims. That's the way I roll. Yellow is too taxi. Red fades alot. Black shows to many marks on the paint but can look hot.
S2k fav colour for me is Blue/Cream Interior. White/Red Interior. Silver/Red Interior.
just make sure you dont buy a stolen yellow one.. mine was stolen :(
nah man had it over a year ago lol. got stolen in oct =(
I think, that yellow is good..
Color white are common. So If i were you, I'll take yellow..
how is white common?! I've NEVER seen a white s2000 on the road, and I drive through melb city nearly every day
I saw 3 in one day once here in Brisbane. I was like wtf.
I havent seen 3 before or after that day, since. LOL.
^ Good spot though Brad - Seeing three like that at once would be extremely rare. Still, I'd say white is a touch more exclusive than yellow.
Theres always yellow and white ones around lygon street. Seen a few ap2's around there also.. in black yellow and blue. Other then that only white and yellow ap1's lol.
What would you think of purchasing an unmodified s2000 with 80,000 kms that has been in an accident on the back left hand side?
Would you consider purchasing an s2000 that has been in an accident?
sorry just to add keeping in mind that no panels have been replaced it has just been resprayed. and what price would you think? it is mechanically okay apart from a noise in the gear box but thinking this is pretty minor...
box problems are minor? dude they charge an arm and a leg for just a single synchro. Get one that doesnt have any panel damage / mechanical damage and is in good nick. keep in mind your going to have to fork out abit for the major thats comming up. If i were to buy another i'd definatly buy one that has just over 100,000km's imo. But everyone will have different oppinions.
what do you mean by major service? do s2000's require a new timing belt?
I have been looking for an s2000 for approx 6 months now and am finding it difficult to find a unmodified s2000 i am willing to spend around the 30k mark.
The car I am currently looking at I have had an nrma inspection done one the car and was told "there is a clunk in rear when reversing and noise in drive line when driving at different speeds" the mechanic who inspected this thinks it is a minor problem - but no so sure???
Let me phrase this in another way: the car is mechanically sound, has been in an accident (looks like they have run up the gutter etc) pretty average spray job but frame of the car is ok it's unmodified, 80,000kims and aside from the accident is in really good condition. Would you purchase this car??
i wouldnt.. if i was spending 30k on another s2000 you can pick up some very nice ones in very good condition for around that price. Haggle abit people are bound to drop prices down a little cause some of them have been up there and unable to sell for quite awhile now. and s2000's have chains not belts lol. And by unmodified to you mean cosmetically or mechanically modified? Check up some problems people have been posting up and look how much they paid to replace things to stop the "rear clunk" and what not.
But to answer your question again. 30k is alot for an s2k now so you'll find something alot nicer then what your describing.

Theres two white ones for under 30k lol. BUT you will find something alot better then what your looking at for 30k man.
i was looking at s2k's for quite a while n saw some fairly decent ones for under 30k..
what year were u looking at?
but in the end i couldnt find a good one n got something else =/
still want an s2k..
Dude arnt you driving that rx7 in your picture lol? I'd take an rx7 over an s2k anyday. Pitty i have these stupid power laws :( But yes you'll find some good ones under 30k..
lol yeh the rx7 came along pretty cheaply but maybe after a year or so ill look into an s2k again. i was looking at around 26k and under though so tighter price range..
rx7 is good for a lil weekend car..i use it as my daily and its a bit of a pain..
plus its summer time right now :P
that 2nd one u posted looks hawt!
Nrma.
Lol.
Hey thanks for all that... any advice I can get will be great.
I am looking for one that has never been touched cosmetically or mechanically.
The white ones are "done up"
What do you guys think of this red one down in Canberra it has been up here for some time http://www.carsales.com.au/all-cars/...cs=3&silo=1011
I'm starting to get impatient in finding a decent one and thinking about lookin interstate.
And I want to know what you think of this one too? http://www.carsales.com.au/all-cars/...d=124AAD658582
what's so funny about NRMA
I was pleasantly surprised by how thorough the check on the car is
The yellow one will be a better buy imo. My last car was a yellow 01 s2k with about 50,000kms on the clock for $35,000. Go take a look at it (im sure its in perfect condition and consider that) and never be impaitient. When you start doing that you end up with a car that gives you a headache and a pain in the ass to keep getting it fixed ;) Patience is the key my friend.
and it's a 00 model
what about the red one?
any feedback on this one http://www.carsales.com.au/all-cars/...d=124AAD658582
Little bit pricey for a Silverstone. You'll struggle to find one that hasn't been in some sort of a bingle. Seriously, these cars are now 10 years old, near most are owned by young drivers that can't drive. I'd worry only if it's a repairable writeoff, if it's mechanically sound, then there should be no real issues. Nearly every S2000 with 50,000km+ will have some sort of driveline noise, minor or major.
you need to ask questions and find out more about the cars and their history, like hoe you got an inspection on thr 80,000km accident car.
the online ads may tell you about year, colour and kms but there's so much more to it than that.
remember the silver ones usually sell for cheaper because there's so many, and the yellow, and the black and white are probably the most expensive because of bigger demand and shorter supply.
there were a few really nice white ones on the market only around 2 months ago for 30k-ish, how come you missed out on those?!
don't touch a car with ANY drivetrain issues IMO - the S is a pretty fine tuned machine and as other people have said you'll pay through your nose to fix them.
I'm looking for an S too and i've been looking for a while. I won't go for a car with more than 100,000km if I can help it, won't buy a car that's been modified for track work, won't buy a car that's been through multiple owners, will NOT touch a respray or accident'ed car, and would love to find one in white with red leather.
yeah, I know, I'm gonna be waiting for like. forever.
i'll probably have to build my own S from scratch LOL.
luckily I have lots and lots of time to wait for one. don't touch the white ones on carsales at the moment btw, they've been resprayed/modified/lots of k's, etc.
man I just want my S.
holy shit that was a long rant, sorry LOL
Hey guys,
Thanks for all the feedback.
Wanted to share the NRMA inspection on the silver one with all of you to see what you think http://www.carsales.com.au/all-cars/...d=124AAD658582

The reason why I'm considering this car is for three main reasons:
- the car has never been modified
- the car has approx 80,000kms
I'm not to fussed about colour the only one I'm not real keen on is the silver/black.
Any feedback on what you think the gear box problem is and whether you think it is worth considering and the price would be much appreciated!
Thx
and also it was serviced by a honda dealer every 10,000 kms up unitl 60,000
the last 20,000 the car was not serviced by honda...
S2K's with those sort of K's will have some sort of driveline clunk, it could be backlash from the diff, worn inner driveshaft hubs, worn clutch. The gearboxes are generally clunky and noisy when in 1st and 2nd.
What makes you think this is a good deal? I would stay clear from buying one from a non-honda dealer. Why not consider a slightly modified one? Sometimes these are best maintained ones. Of all the S2K owners i know, all the ones that are modified, these are maintained the best, with most doing oil changes every 5,000km and most parts replaced as/when required. A car being serviced at Honda is o.k, but once warranty runs out, most owners won't replace all necessary items that need to be replaced. Obviously this isn't the case for every one that's out there.
Sure there's some shit modded ones out there, but be mindfull, if someones gone to the trouble of fitting thousands of dollars worth of quality aftermarket parts, then there's a good chance the car has seen decent regular servicing.
Also buying a stock S2K doesn't mean it hasn't been modified. Most S2k's that are up for sale were at some stage modified and returned to standard for sale. Tell tale signs, of bolts missing here and there, rubbers split and torn, plastic trims broken are signs of an ex-modded S2K.
Also most people will harp on about Honda servicing, lets be realistic, every honda gets serviced by an apprentice or by a tech asistant. So your beloved car is getting worked on by a noboby who's not qualified yet. So IMO sometimes it best your car serviced by someone you can trust rather than Honda.
yea
listen to jap s2k
he knows wat his on about
i agree with everything he has just said aswell lmao

White one for sale if anyone is interested.
it's a respray, has been through a few owners and has relatively high km. doesn't seem like anyone is game
finally an late christmas prezzi but i'm finally getting an s2k. Trying to get the racv to come check it asap so i can start zooming around in it. It's Yellow, 58000 ks, 2001 model in better condition then 2005-2006 cars. I'm paying low 30's for it... wanted to pay less but the owner is too fussy. He's had it for more then 2 years only putting on 8000 ks. Real bitch of a guy but he really knows how to look after he's car! i look forward to coming to a meet soon and seeing all your AWESOME s2k!
Regards
Will

yup that white one for sale on carsales is my car. the respray was paid for by the previous owner. its in excellent condition. highish kms (though you can be sure they are genuine compared to some other cars out there) but the car is in immac condition (interior is practically like new). it has been checked out by the MTA however the buyer low balled me with an offer of 23k so i told him where to put his offer.
i will take 25k for it. if anyone is looking at buying i highly recommend you come and have a look at the car for yourself, it will not disappoint.
john
sorry to hijack this thread but does anyone have any info on this car?
http://www.carsales.com.au/all-cars/...cs=6&silo=1011
Thats a respray as well, car was originally silver decent mods, though the steering wheel seems to have the cruise control buttons (USDM only?). no way to tell what condition it really is in till you drive it. dont know about the deck cut into the dash though. major passenger safety hazard and it looks crap imo.
also, apparently that guy in WA doesn't have logbooks.
hey! i'm picking up the s2k tomoro! i'm soo excited i can bearly sleep! i'll post up pix when i take some nice ones but
