wondering, if there is some parts from other model Honda's that will fit into the DA9. im talking bolt on. not having to cut up and join and wat not. just a general listing, but ultimately want to know if any other suspension is interchangable

go over to g2ic and have a search for hybrid suspension.
1. gear shifter boot from dc.
2. adustable cam gears. from most b series.
3. 1/2 size radiatior from a civic will also fit
4. injectors, saturated ot the other ones. (one require a resistor box, and others dont)
5. b18c or b16a head on b18a block (lsvtec)
6. oil pump
7. Air con pump.
8. All b series gearbox's mate to bseries engines. note that some require a cable/hydro conversion.
9. brake / stud conversion from a dc or dc type r.
10. shifter from a crx or civic.
11. type r throttle body.
12. steering wheel, gear knob
13. throttle cable from similar designed im. such as type-r.
14. flywheel from b series.
15. gear shifter boot from dc.
in re: to point 1. Vtec rocker cover doesnt fit non vtec engine ? ie b18a, b18b, b20 BUT those 3 engine rocker covers are interchangeable.. hope that makes sense
if you get itr rear lca's and the feet (mental block, what are they called?) for the front shocks out of an eg/dc you can put eg/dc suspension in a da (I did it a month ago, and it works). go on g2ic and search 'elusive hybrid suspension article', it's got everything you need to know. Alternately EF suspension goes straight in I'm led to believe.
Do any strut tower bars from other civics integras fit a da?
do any exhaust systems from other honda's fit? e.g. crx/ef?
EK suspension will also fit on DA with EG front drop folk and EK rear LCAs
anyone know does DC2R radiator fit on DA without any mod ??
I have a good question.
If I have itr lca's, what type of rear sway bar do i want?
Upgraded LS, ITR, or other.
you want the 'whiteline rear sway', the dc2 and type r's require drilling and modifications to attach the mounts.
cheers, but why do i want that over the upgraded LS bar? which as far as i can tell wouldn't require modification?
want what? i just said you want the whiteline da9 bar. the others like the dc2 and type r require mods.
oh sorry my bad, I misread that, to say 'the whiteline rear sway for dc2 which will require modifications.' Thanks for the confirmation
nice work jon !
eg/dc rear strut braces will fit but you need to enlarge the mounting holes a couple milimeters with a dremel or something similiar. Its pretty close, when you line the bar up with the bolts the bar mounts to you can see over 3/4 of the bolt through the mounting hole, so the holes just need to be made slightly bigger. n.b. this info is from g2ic, not personal experience.
what kind of modifications will i need to fit a b18c/b16a aftermarket intake manifold?
cheers
anyone!
not an answer to ur question but another to add to the interchangable list, info from g2ic.com, the g3 integra flywheel (including type r) will directly bolt on.
what steering wheels will fit a DA9 ? Will a EG or DC wheel fit ? Same spline size ?
come on guys, someone has to know???????
www.g2ic.com
i think that question has been answered 100 times there if you feel like doing some research
is there an off the shelf cat back available in australia for a da9?
not that i kno of.....
do dc2r throttle bodies directly bolt on? is there any power gains?
modifying it in which way? im a bit noob about tbs, boring it out to make it larger?
how about Dc2R radiator ??
by taking out material form the overall inside diameter of the throttle body and replacing the butterfly plate to match.
like for example, lets say the oem diameter is 48mm and you get it bored out to 52mm or 54mm that would increase the amount of air going through the throttle body and into the inlet manifold.
I remember seeing over sized ones for B18A's at something like 75mm for like $285.
180sx: nope dont think it does fit, the mounting points are different and I think the withs are different too?
just put a DC2 radiator on my DA today !!! but what's the different between Type R radiator and stock DC2 Vtir one ? are they the same ?
what was the advantage of fitting the dc2 one?
no benefit. stock radiator is fine for day to day driving - thats what its made for.
unless your putting the car under stress - i.e tracking it regularly, i cant see the point in upgrading.
mind you most people track their car here on standard radiator
why would u put dc2r radiator? u hoping to squeeze more kw? lol
get a half size civic one instead!
standard radiator will cope with all situations, street and track. only benefit of 1/2 size radiator is for turbo setups for more room.
people sometimes convert to a dc2 or type r radiator because they can be cheaper or are easily available.
hey,
does a dc2 exhaust/piping fit a da9? besides the muffler comming out the wrong side, and if so how hardn is it to fit?
length of the main pipe needs to be adjusted, need hooks to mount on the back left. I always wanted to try that but didnt know if there would be an issue with the exhaust running along the back left,
like is there risk of it being too close to the fuel tank?
stock EG shocks and springs combo along with the front EG forks will drop the DA9 by about 2" supposedly...
Im going to try it prob on the weekend as i have a set of EG shocks + springs front and rear that are sitting in the shed.
will get pics when i do.
lo n sxc where did u see the 75mm throttle bodies at 285 for? im looking for one! also kno any good places for good intake mani's?
Cheers
wherever i read that EG springs and shocks are shorter than a DA9 its shit.
i got them sitting next to each other right now.. springs shocks and the forks..
EG is actually a tad longer... what a waste of time
hmmm well i used EF shocks in the rear of my car back in the days and they were definitely shorter
can anyone confirm my exhaust query????
you will have a problem with your fuel tank! and if you go under it it is going to hang too low and you will scrap everything. However it can be done but by the time you waste your time figuring it out you could of worked to get a exhaust fabricated to do the same job
thanks man,
so in short, it can be boted on?
we're refing to the exhaust following a mirrored path. so over left rear lca instrad of the right. like the DC but the opposite side.

thats the shit, thanks dude.
but i think if i put the exhaust straight out the right side, it shouldnt be a problem? correct me if im wrong.
also
i havent forgotten, i will have to correct the rear bumper were the exhaust will come out
I've seen photos of that done. if you're just going to bolt on a dc2 one why not just get a greddy sp2 off ebay for the da9? probably end up cheaper then most dc2 ones you can source in aus anyway.
will an aftermarket intake minfold from the b18c/b16a fit onto our b18a/b's?
Thanks
hey, what rails fit a da9? any straight fit, no mods required?
I still hazard a guess that it'd be cheaper then alot of dc2 catbacks
Nah i haven't like you i ran out of time. I ended up just buying coilovers so yeah. But i could not do it by my self you basically have to get someone to put there foot on the lca and apply pressure down so that the hole matches up first time it took me like one hour cos i was by myself.
raise the lca into place with a jack
here you go cold fusion found on g2ic:thumbsup::thumbsup:

IZY-10 you just linked Cold fusion to his own thread on G2iC lol
my bad lol
EG springs/shocks/forks in a DA9..
Fronts look like absolute shit and the car sits higher than with the original springs... Not to mention the amount of difficulty i went through to get them on.. Rears are fine though. I wanna know who has tryed this before?
Ive read of people doing it before. How the $%^& did you lower the front with EG springs/shocks/forks? I dont believe it can be done. Heres pics of the front and rear:
http://i16.photobucket.com/albums/b3...85/ebay090.jpg
http://i16.photobucket.com/albums/b3...85/ebay091.jpg
i did some research and found that nowhere seems to mention the front lowering, but mentioning that rear. Damn i wish i knew the fronts wouldnt lower. I wouldnt have bothered lol.
lol. the articles for the EG springs/shocks/forks are actually refering to using aftermarket springs. not stock.
lol how annoying.....
btw the back will be higher once the front is lowered.

just found this pic on the forums. notice how he has the exhaust coming out the right hand side. I had a look today and it wont clear the lower control arm on the left hand side as mentioned earlier
and this one too :D

yeah i had a look, the fuel tankfiller line is in the way
