But just bought myself new springs Tein H-Tech drops f35mm r30mm
Why do some not like Kings springs? Whats their reputation like?
Kings and Pedders... they attend to Sag after a while.. and the ride is pretty rough... i got told from OTR someone had king springs on there Honda and it snapped so he got himself Tein s-tech...
But everyone have different opinion...
LD MART, i can even get it at that price...can u please hook me up man?
spend the money .. the spoon springs are well worth the money ... very comfortable ... and when you go hard, they go hard too :)
So I just got my car lowered on kings for 250 bux...if any1 wans arnd the same price just pm me.its firmer than stock, but hey that's wad u get for a shorter spring and the handling is the instant notice.but its not so stiff that its unbareble.im satisfied with it...will post some pics once im home and taken some pics.

Review:What i found difference straight away is the handling capability when taking roundabout, it feels stuck on the road and also the ride stiffnes...its really firm but thats how i like it.and the ride height. well at first my thoughts were "they rip me off, its whats the difference???" but after a while seeing it and comparing to my brothers car which has the same set up as me as in the wheels (215/45/17) den i can tell the diff. the ride height on the pic is after 5 days of install and its how i like it...Perfect...
im using Kings...
hey EJ, thats 17"? looks small eh... but the ride height is nice!!
yea tis a 17, ppl always ask...is that 16s??:-(
it does look small, thinking of upgrading 2 18s but dun relly wanna pae to lower bak 2 this height again
thanks man
no EJ, I thank you! Now I decided to go 18" instead of 17" (when I have the budget that is...) hope I can get a good price from trade in my 16" Sports rim (5 of them!!! :p)
EJ ur car looks so good...its simple but its really good u know...ur not overdoing it...it looks very nice...hows the handling?
Wow you guys are getting crazy prices. From the quotes i've gotten, it is nothing close to $250 for kings installed here in melb.
Anyone know a place in melb at this ($250-350) price point?
o relly?
wads the diff?atm the handling.i love it...will it change?
i got it from a guy at castle hill, jax tyres told me 2 wait 2 weeks...so meh
thanks tho ld mart
sounds like kings sag bad?
The springs take a while to settle in.
once weight is placed on the springs over a certain time period the springs will settle in and be at the lowered height.
such as the front will drop quicker then the back due to the engine weighing it down.
Also the ride tends to get worse the lower the car gets.
Personally i found the handling too be better the lower the car get and could take corners alot tighter but there wasnt to much difference from the stock.
this is just my experience from putting king springs on my FD2.
I got eibach sportline on my fd1

For you guys who have springs other than Kings, did any of you get them from the US? I'm wondering if the springs they have for the LX/DX USDM civics (also with the R18a engine) have the same springs as ours... anyone know?
i got mine from US. Its sharing the same spring as US sedan 1.8L
Supp,i Gots Skunk 2 On My 04 Civic Sedan, had Kings But It Only Lowerd One Inch,so I Got Some Skunks And It Droped 2.25.i Gots To Get Camber Correction Kit Front And Rear Though.but I Am Happy With The Ride.not As Harsh As The Kings.
it's 17" from Euro Lux, drop 1.4" front and rear
the offset from euro is 35, we should get 45 for our civic.
I did use spacer before, however it causes wheels vibration then decide to take it off.
I'd say 1 finger gap.
nice rims mate.. ive always wanted to put those rims on my fd.. and now i can see how it looks. =).. do u have pics before lowering?
since the fd has a 45 offset..and the rims are 35... what problems do u have?
absolutely nothing! I might sell the wheels and eibach springs in the next 2 months if u're interested.
I FOUND TEIN S TECH on ebay for $330 if not mistaken. including shipment.
well how to check?
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...228174468&rd=1
it says 100% authentic...so i guess its not a replica
alright then....ebay it is ^_^. will post pic once installed. cheers
Can anyone here confirm if springs below would fit FD Civics?
Honda 2006 Civic Si (Si, FG2, 2Dr Coupe/4Dr Sedan) Tein H-Tech Springs (SKB14-BUB00)
well if it fits the FG2 it shud fit the FD since they have the same shape
Thanks for that. Im doing abit more research so I found the link below about resetting springs.
http://autospeed.com/cms/A_3082/article.html
Anyone here experience first hand if ride quality is still the same? Im after a maximum 1 inch drop.
one problem I found was that a lot of springs tend to lower the back more then the front... which I don't think is a look many are attempting to achieve.
the place i did it at, he suggest not to reset springs..the ride will be tougher than lowerd springs
suposidly it meant to be the same lol. Wouldnt reccommend it.
So hows your springs now ej20i? has the springs adjusted and all? There is no place i can find that will drop anymore then 1.5 in melbourne other than using king springs ... so i might have to go kings afterall.
okae...it relly depends on how u drive...since, for the las few weeks ive been doing some mountain driving..i have to say...im disapointed..the spring became realy soft after 2 laps...and it started to sink the car in the driver side causing scratches on the front spoiler...look into importing mate...i think its a much better investments..like bilstein or tein...look into japanparts.com
