What width and offset should i be looking for in the 20' variety? Will be dropped atleast 2.5 - 3 inches
Cheers..
hey guys just a quick question
i got given a set of 225/35/20 wheels with +35 offset
its on the car, and i want to lower it
i was gonna go eibachs with 1inch drop, but was curious if i dropped it on h&r's on 1.3 front and rear.
just need to know if i need to roll my gaurds if i lower it with either setup
just looking at the wheel fender and the wheel, im getting the feeling that it will stick out just a little bit from the fender.. but im not sure until i really do it.
any ideas guys?
cut bit of the plastic guard and roll it properly ull need camber if the width of the wheels are x 8.5"
be more specific..
are u after sexspec style or true OG VIP style?
As there is a big diffrence in widths with these 2 styles,
sexspec just go down to your local wheels store and buy a set of 20's u like they will probably be like 7 inches wide max 8.5 and the will have a offset in there mid to high +40's, so with just a guard roll and the natural camber from a 3inch drop they will be fine.
But if u want True OG VIP style, then you will need something in the minimum 9.5 inches preferably in the double diggits 10+ with a low offset thats modderate not to wild as they wont fit then on a euro, some in the mid +30's then u need a camber kit and pump those guards or better still shave the lips off.
So 9.5 rear with a +35 roughly will be a sweet set up with the right camber, front u can work out,
Or just check out what kittbkk and Atjo had on there Euro's.
^^^
Great info!!
And yeah looking for sexspec over VIP style.
So now the hunt is on..
CHEERS!
No worries man, GL
This spec is fine with no rear camber kit, 235 tires, a bit of camber in the front and rolled guards.
has anyone attempted any gtr wheel specs on a CL9?
17 x 9.5J +15 Offset ????
just by reading the offset threads made, it doesnt seem like an easy approach at the fronts, but seems the rears will just stick up tad bit.
check out this for low offset, my mates bought new rims for his R32 so i put his old Work Eurolines on the euro for a laugh, it was undriveable with them. the fronts were 17X8.5 with 0 offset, and the rear were 18X8.5 with +6 offset.
