y not just get it engineered?
theres more to it than just a certificate,
1. you need to pass the epa test first, you cant engineer with a epa defect.
2. even with a certificate you can still get sent to the epa
3. Epa will turn the heads if you have a emmisions test done at a rta with photographic evidence being documented showing that you passed
as stated above, i decided to go the full legit way no matter how hard it is...less hassles in the long run...they can still fuk with you, as long as your car is registered and driven on the road they can do whatever...
your right, if they really want to mess with you they can still defect you.
But if you are engineered properly, even if they send you to the pits it will just get checked and crossed off.
Most cops will not even bother with you if your engineered most of the times.
Wow you guys have a hard time in other states hey. I've had 14 yellow stickers in my time but they were all for bullcrap rice stuff when i was a nub 17 year old e.g To low, to loud etc etc.
But i've had my car examinded 3 times with my turbo kit in and they never noticed the difference so the last time i went to the pits to get a yellow off was over 2 years ago and i got my car Re-Registered some how as a "EG Tyre R Turbo Civic". I even have that on my rego papers, its awesome.
It does, ive had a copy hassle me only once about my turbo setup and i happen to have the rego papers in the car and i was like "it comes stock as a turbo car" hahaha and pointed at the papers and the cop believed me.
No one really bothers with engineering certs in perth. If your a tuner the cops wont even care really. If your an old dude in a hot rod then it will be fine.
