Would you buy another new Euro?

I'm am now very annoyed with my MY05 Euro Lux because I am getting a creaking noise from the back, just behind the seat, when I corner or go up a driveway. I'll have to check whether it may be due to poor installation of Mugen coilovers about 9 months ago. I hope it's something that can be easily fixed.

If I were to buy a new car now for a similar price to the Euro Lux, I'd probably go for a Turbo FSI Jetta with the leather interrior and electric seats (sunfroof and Xenons make it a lot more expensive). Apart from the awesome torque, the 6-speed DSG transmission gives it a major advantage, since it has the practicality of an auto, yet is faster 0-100 than a manual (the Jetta Turbo doesn't come in manual, but the DSG Golf GTI is faster than the manual GTI). The Jetta also has excellent sports suspension as standard, and much better paint quality than the Euro (much more resistant to swirls, scratches and chips). The refinement levels are very close. On the downside, there is a lot of evidence that VW reliability is well below Honda standards, but since I only intend to keep the car while under factory warranty, that's a risk I'm willing to take.

Rear creaking noise is/was a common issue. Its usually either the rear sway bar or the parcel tray behind the passenger speaker.

Thanks. The second link doesn't work, but I'll check the parcel tray, which is where it sounds like it's coming from.

I think I quite like the Lexus IS250, its not too badly priced for what you get!
Although ever since the new Camry came out - I think they look too much alike - from far away especially from the rear, u can't really tell that easily!

Anyway - between the EVO IX and the STI - I think I'll go for the STI. Just because it has better interior and also HID's on it. The EVO is probably the best cornering machine ever on earth, but the STI isn't that far behind it in performance in the dry, sometimes even better (but you've to take into consideration fact that STI is running semi-slicks, which are slippery as hell in the wet. MOTOR should do a test in the wet with an STI and EVO, instead of only in the dry, me thinks.)

If you haven't owned a Turbo AWD before, I would seriously think you should get an STI or EVO. They're just so damn good at what they do, its not funny!

But to answer the original question, I will def buy another Euro again, provided it could be modded or at least got some better power and especially front end traction!

i too, see no point, in selling a euro, and then buying a euro

not when all you get is a console + rims upgrade

and your loosing so much money on the trade, the money lost, just spend on the current car, itll easily get you a bodykit + rims etc

which will look and feel much better than a new euro

im personaly kinda getting sick of the euro

4cyl = sounds weak, and the car has no charactare or feel to it, not like old cars did. new cars, everything is electronic, i feel like im not connected with the car at all :(

that's because your euro is 'stocky pocky' lol of course it's going to feel bland its a 'refined' car from factory. They can be a bit if fun if you want them to be though...

Re second link, search the Accord (not Euro) section for "creak".
There are alot of Euro threads that have not been moved from the Accord section to the Euro section.

LOL...i hate climate control on the euro!

i want my simple switches, instead of having to press buttons and cycle through to the mode that i want, to the fan speed i want...bah!

would have to buy 1 before i can buy another one. but if sure would get one if i had the cash.

I don't like it either.Just use the A/C switch and fan.Don't worry about climate control.That's what i do!

jesus guys, i don't see how adjusting the fan speed could be simpler than just having a preset temperature.
