sounds like a solid pickup!
Yeh pics :)

I'm having trouble selling my S2000 :(
Not much love from carsales so I'm going to try gumtree now.
^ if the kms are high (past around 130) they seem to be hard to sell. How many kms does yours have? And I'm speaking from always looking out on carsales.
If its under those digits (130 or so), priced well enough and its in good condition it'll go quick.
181,000kms, so yes, above 130. I test drove quite a few with kms around 100,000 and my one drove so much better (had 160,000kms when I bought it). I know people just assume that one with lower kms will run better, which isn't always the case.
People tend to go for lower km due to a higher resell value. If they were to sell it in the future they would have better chance of selling the car oppose to those with higher km - lower km at least reels people in. Unfortunately Redbook valuation doesn't help your situation.
Yeah I agree, I bought the car with the intention of not selling it, therefore the kms didn't really bother me since it runs so well. I'm sure the right buyer will come along some day.
Red book value just devalues most cars anyway. Biggest crock of crap
I've had about 5 offers on my car, but they all have offered their car plus a cash adjustment. Do not want.
can you link your car so we can have a look at it?
Could anyone provide information about the silver s2000 in melbourne with the SCharger?.
I have been strongly considering, especially for the asking price.
However, my history of the car thus far is.
-has has a full body respray
-has a new motor installed, thus probably old motor blow.
-claims to have 70,xxxkms on the chassis, but not sure how reliable that claim is
-running a supercharger
I dont have an issue with FI, cause thats the avenue im going down once i buy my s2000, but having it already done can be scary.
Just wanna know if anybody has any details on the car.
Ive seen a heap of photos and videos of the car, the owner has sent me.
Just if i make a trip down to melbourne, im going with the cash to drive it back.
Dont wanna go down there and get dicked.
The owner is on here - http://www.ozhonda.com/forum/showthr...VI-1500-SC-etc
Was also considering buying a FI S2K and also considered the one your after but after alot of thought i bitched it and went with a stockie
Mechanically speaking the SC setup is only going to be as good as the guy installing it,
Probably best to speak to the owner for more details of the install job, grab some receipts and make some phone calls if your concerned about the setup.
sweet thanks. i can do some research into it now.
Here enjoy
^ carsales? I'd try if you haven't
After a week of ownership i've come to realize i dont really want to daily my S lol time to look for a cheap daily
hey guys first time just looking for a black S2K will inspect and buy tomorrow ! cheers
I bet you don't.
dunnomate.
Hey broQuote:
Hi,
For sale is my really clean AP1v2. For those who are on forums its ALPS. i know i've spoken big and said i wouldn't sell ever again, but oh well.
I am an enthusiast, this is my second s2000 after regretting selling my first one. I have great love for these cars but it is time to move on and invest in my future and not a liability. i know i will regret this one too and will not move on, in future i will get another. so whoever buys this one must keep in touch, otherwise you aint getting it.
The AP1v2 model has glass soft top with defroster, tweeters in doors, chrome finishes here n there, pockets in the doors, revised ECU map which has 10 hp more than standard AP1 and few other bits n pieces. I flew all the way to QLD to pick this one up.
This model can actually be insured for what you pay for it. Market value is more than a '99 AP1
as soon as i got it back to melb, i took it to Carl @ CRS Automotive and it has had a beyond major service done for peace of mind. cost me almost 2k. receipts available. it has also just recently had its 5k minor service done. Also had its rotors machined and new pads put in. Car still has 9 months rego left
Only modification to this car is that i have rolled the guard/fenders and an aftermarket stereo.
I am looking for a quick sale. price is firm at 20k, will not go lower so do not waste your time. car owes me heaps more.. i'm sure people will be bidding more to have this car. as it is really hard to find a clean s2.
Regards
Alp
calling your car a liability isn't how you sell it...
those who think a car isn't a liability and who deny it, should get smart. lol new or old, faults or no faults, it is still a liability. not an investment. actually i take that back, there can be that scenario you find a cheap run down car which in original/good condition is worth good money and you can actually make money out of repairing/restoring, then yeh, investment. but other than that, liability.
I agree, a car is a liability.
But that's not something I'd say in an ad.
ok i'll take that part out! -.-
done! lol

Anybody inspected this so far?
Haven't inspected it before but, it's "monarofans" s2000
sold to dunnomate
cheers bro
link doesnt work
Yeah links aren't working on carsales. It's a 46,000 km ap1 v2. 28k
how do you know if its ap1.5 or ap1 i didnt even know there was 2
and whats ap1 v2? man just when i thought i had it mostly sussed
Hahaha. I think most people refer to the glass rear window models as the ap1.5 or v2.
Firstly, all AuDM S2000s are AP1. Don't believe me? Check the compliance plate.
Then comes the Model Year. This is different to the year of manufacture. A Dec 02 is My03.
That will define the specs of the car.
Mine is an MY00 with Honda rear glass window. ;)
ap1v2 has chrome finishes on headlights and chrome ring on tails.. factory tweeters on the doors, pockets on the doors, chrome finishings in certain places on the dash. relocated headlights washer button, glass window with defroster, revised ECU map pushing 10hp more. n some other shi7.
the wheels are a different finish to i think.
That's only cause you replaced your whole roof including frame, or was it just the soft top
Just the soft top.
ok so those that say they want an 04+ because the Rear suspension isnt as twitchy as the AP1, in reality the only difference is cosmetic. since its all f20c same engines right?
So then the 04+ AUDM models still includes all AP2 updates bar the 2.2L engine, and it's respective changes (redline, torque etc)?
For example, everything on this list (yes, it's a benz site for what it's worth) bar the engine related dot points still apply to our 04+ cars?
^ Yup, afaik our audm ap2 has everything but the f22c engine.
Ignorant comment. Are you suggesting that the AuDM shouldn't have had the incremental changes or that the car should have gone through the range of compliance tests to increase the engine size by 200cc (and reduce the rev limit) for the less than 500 cars sold since 2006?
I don't believe we missed out much with no F22C1... S2000 very raw/core characteristic comes from the F20C ;)
I just think whatever Japan got we should of got! My comment is more so directed at the AUDM DC5R vs JDM DC5R with such raw features watered down for us Aussies. But being a S2000 thread I didn't bring that up and just made the comment in general.
Most AUDM Hondas were watered down before getting here! Then theres the cars we didn't get such as the FD2R and EK9. Then so many Nissans, toyotas etcetc but don't wana go off topic :)
EDIT : then people would be doing F22 bottom and F20 top for complete awesome-ness!
does anyone with an AP1 have a factory fitted alarm, i have the stickers on my windows its from Prestige Honda in perth, every now n then the alarm goes off randomly.
but its sounds like my cars alarm has different attributes to others.
i press lock and it takes about 5-10 seconds then the indicators will flash (once or twice forgot) and do the beeps but the beeps sound more like weeps.
when at a friends house the alarm went off consecutively i would stop it re-alarm then go back inside.
any ideas?
mine has a honda installed one, according to the stickers, i think it may be a optional extra
Hi all, new member and on the hunt for an S2000 - this thread is great.
Currently located in Perth but relocating to Sydney from Sep-Jan for work - seeing as how the Perth market is bone dry, considering continuing the search while I'm over east and paying for interstate transport if I find anything good there
if u wait a silver one with a hardtop will come on during september. it was on gumtree before but the guy said he would use his september break to re rego the car and sort it out for sale.
guy seemed nice, and price was decent before. but make sure to revs check as it had finance when i checked and i told him so he said its on the list of things to be fixxed.
however it could all just be BS
Thanks fellas
Yeah I'll keep my eye on those ones. Keen to make a trip down to Victoria to check out any offerings once I move east, seen some great cars listed and sold there. I anticipate it being pretty easy to move between the east coast once I'm based in Sydney. It's a bit of a transit when you're in WA...
S&M colour yiezzz
red interior yh nh
Has anyone else gone and looked at this?

Seems like a good buy?
I saw it a couple weeks back it was pretty clean apart from some small scratches on the rear bar, owner wasn't too negotiable though he seemed like a top bloke - was 95% sold on it until another one popped up literally while i was holding my phone about to call this guy back.
