couple of quick questions....
What needs to be modified on a 92 to get a 93 front bar on??
&
Ive bought a pair of aftermarket head lights off of ebay, now problem is cause they're made for usdm tegs they have the amber reflector where our park lights would normally be....
should i open em up n try to mod it with a clear reflector of some sort or just leave and throw in an amber park light globe?
for 92 to 93 front bar look at www.g2ic.com and look for teg tips etc... wen my front bar got cracked the dickhead repairers put a 91 front bar on my 93 DA9 so probz straight bolt! as for the lights, leave it would look different
hey, would there be any noticeable power loss or any problems if i ran a custom 2.25 inch exhaust, headers back with a jdm type r 2.5inch cat?
would it run normal? or should i just try to trade my cat for a 2.25 one?
quick exhaust diagram:
Headers= 2.25inch----Cat=2.5inch----res=2.25inch----twinloop tip=2.25
no modifications for fitting the front bar.. but i think you need to use your 90 bumper support on your 92 front bar.

that cat should b fine most the time cats r bigger then the exhaust system anyways so u wont have a problem

anyone got a set off aftermarket head lights they wanna sell me :) or a polished to shit stock headlights with no yellow shit on them as im to lazy to clean mine...unless u guys know of a quick and simple way other then shaving with different sand papers then painting them polish etc??
The front bar should bolt on, I have just put one on mine, it came with the reinforcing bar which is what bolts to the chassis, the indicators are different, get them off Ebay in the US, I paid around $100 for a pair of second hand ones at a wreckers here (before i found them on ebay) the later front looks better I think.Quote:

the bar came with factory clear indicators.
the aftermarket headlights came with slightly smoked clear indicators aswell, might sell after i decide which ones i like better.

i think, they are illegal on cars that didnt come from factory with it, that is if u get pulled over.

the lighting was 10x better once adjusted correctly
but the globe blew and i wasnt bothered buying another

thats whats good bout the american da9s the throttle cable is short and doesnt go over the exhaust manifold like ours do this means its one less thing i wouldve had to worry bout....

yeh i looked in my manual the other day and the fog lights r an option on the american ones so u can use those switchs they look like the demister switch and will bolt straight in...
as for the centre console just check items for sale on g2ic but im in the process of getting one... and a coin holder near the steering wheel ive never had one WTF with that

if i disconnect that fuse box for 30min maybe, will anything happen to the timing or general running of the car? i want to disconnect it in order of relocating it.

every setting on ur car is determined by some point of the engine wether it be timing, ignition valve timing everything
even in new cars theres something somewhere to work tdc etc. out
so saying this its not gonna do anything wether u take the battery out remove a few fuses or anything... u can reset ur ecu.. but thats different
im chasing a DA9 thermo fan relay if anyone has one let me know please
disconnecting that should reset your ECU I would think, best to start car and let idle for 10 mins to allow it to set itself up again, this is needed if you have headers/cold intake etc
has anyone done it just to confirm?
