I'm thinking of getting the Civic Sports MY10.
Does anyone know if it's possible or has anyone actually modded the instrument display colour from standard Blue to another colour, like Red? I have seen some pictures of the Civic Si (not sure if it was an Australian version though), where the instrument lights were Red like in the Type R. Is this possible to mod either at the factory or 3rd party?
Also, does anyone know if it's possible to put in a screen for GPS and audio / video as the standard dash doesn't look like it would easily accommodate a screen.
Again, sorry if this has been raised before, but there are a lot of pages on this topic to go through. I am thinking of buying real soon.

Mines screwed then, cos mine doesn't turn on at all, the heater/aircon etc turns on, but the Audio controld "1,2,3 skip/frwd" etc do not light up. However the aduio screen does. Darghh, gota ask Honda to fix it.

The highlighted in GREEN sections all light up as expected under driving lights (no need to adjust "illuminate" button.
The highlighted in RED section does not light up at all. Dark as night, can't see what i'm pressing.
I'm assuming this is not normal behavior, but would like others to confirm as i can't remember.
take it back to the dealership, i think the LED's are blown then

Wife's fault, she hit a curb and warped it :( - By the way, the console lights that i had been asking about, where mine don't seem to work (audio controls), well apparently when wife spilled soft drink on the console, it must have leaked into the electrics, hence the lighting in one part no longer works, Honda quotes $1100 to replace. (assuming radio works - which it does - if it didn't would have been more)
Man for that price id rather get the double din kit, and a new sound system! - That is exactly what i'll be doin ;)

Okay so the CAI are mainly to improve the responsiveness when accelerating rather than overall performance? Do you feel a significant difference in response when hitting the gas?
I've got an sri and it feels like there's a difference in performance but not significant. The only really noticeable difference is induction noise...
CAI + Speedbooster + Throtle body spacer is way to go. surprisingly TB spacer makes car run smother while changing gear and gives more power on top end.
^ have you got a TB spacer in your car? I know they're working well on Civic Si's but I'm afraid to buy one in case of a CEL. If an aftermarket intake can give me a CEL I'm sure a TB spacer will also. Otherwise the Helix ones look real good. As for speed booster, I'd love one but can't justify spending 300+ for one.

I believe that the double din FD kit has a 7" slot. There are unit's out there that are 5.8" or 4.3" in size. Do these Double Din FD consoles require a 7" unit or do they come with various adapters that you can use to put other sized units in?????
