Haha I don't wanna make a new thread until I've finished my grille. Need to get it painted before install. It's easy to install though... pulled apart the front of my Civic today and it's really easy to fit.

Does anyone here have any thoughts on the K&N air filter for the Civic 1.8? There's a sale going on in Singapore atm with each for under $80aud (maybe $10-15 for shipping?)... debating whether or not it's worth it.
EDIT: I'm not sure if I'm allowed to disclose the sellers here because they are based in Singapore... the guy previously wanted to sell on OzHonda but was rejected.
i have no idea what they cost if you buy them here from autobarn or something like that...but that sounds like a reasonable price...not sure how long it will take to ship over though...my friend told me the filters are like 100 bucks...but when you find out the right price...let me know coz i want one as well!! hahaQuote:

I generally always recommend k&n filters wether there's a power gain or not, but if what you're looking for is more kick, go with a CAI.

Regarding the CAI
CAI as in Cold Air Intake.
It replaces the whole intake for a pipe that goes all the way to get air from the "outside" of the car and not the engine bay thus colder air means more oxygen and better combustion.
ppl generally gain an average of 5kw with a well designed CAI
For the civic 06 r18 there's 3 brand making CAIs
AEM (good brand but stuffed up on the 06 model, gives CELs, stalls, etc)
Injen (great brand, works great)
Fujita (works great as well)
