If the tyre manufacturer approves the particular tyre for mounting on a rim of that width go for it. Assuming the tyre is appropriately load and speed rated and you have considered the effect the change in tyre diameter will have. You will sacrifice some tyre rigidity due to the bulged out sidewall and hence you will lose some response.Quote:

215 max for 6.5's. Although i have to say 215/50/15 ftw!!
Charger is right. A lot of tyre manufacturers state u can go wider. I personally wouldnt bother though.

I figure I should use my Rudd money and replace my bald tyres.
I like the Toyo T1R's, but they are wayy to sporty for my EG. So yeah, aussie version of the T1R's with a hard side wall would be nice.
