Can't believe how badly the importer stuffed up the headlights. All the wires were just hacked up and, I kid you not, reattached with sticky tape. Ridiculous. The clamps to hold the bulbs in place are missing too. Attempting to fit HIDs has now turned into a big and tedious job. Bleh!

To run a kpro, we need the usdm prb ecu for our cars right? Since jdm prd isn't compatible??
Hey guys need a little help... a friend's EP3 had a CEL come on while warming up the car. It was running perfectly fine the previous day.
So from what i can remember from this thread.. its usually the primary O2 sensor thats gone.
To the guys that replaced their primary O2 sensor, did you go OEM Honda or aftermarket? How much did you pay and any problems?
Paid 310 for it from jdmyard and fixed it.

From my records Honda charged 350+ for the o2 sensor, don't bother with second hand.
Forgot to mention I got the 02 sensor from jdmyard is Honda oem part.

oh, and i recently got new tyres, previously running KUMHO KU31's and now changed to FALKEN ZIEX ZE912's. does anybody run this tyre or has heard anything about them? so far they seem pretty good but i just wanted to see if i made a good choice lol
How much did you pay for them?
i'm running the ZE912. they are ok but tyre wall a bit soft and understeers on track.
i think FK452 would be a better choice.
31's, 912, 595 etc...good entry level tyres....452, 595R's and 36's etc start to become more sports orientated! None the less good reliable tyres!
phew, made a good choice for the streets then! i got a set of 215/45/17's for $500 at Jax in Liverpool.

As for my car....somehow survived a road trip to Nobbys Creek and back ( near Tweed heads) - we drove thru flooded roads rooted my alarm etc etc.....God. Still managed 650kms out of a tank woo woo on the motorway :)
Hey fellas, new to the EP3 game.
I'm getting my set of Buddy Club N+ put into the EP3 this coming Saturday.. Just wanted to ask how much can I expect the coilovers to settle (F/R) before they reach their final height? I'm hoping for the final height to be roughly 1 finger to maybe 1 thumb space all around.

Seen a pre Fl ep3 with mugen front and Fl taillights hooning in kk's and chippo.
Does anyone have aftermarket HIDs in? If so, did you use the orginial clips/wire thing to hold in the bulbs? Having a lot of trouble with this and about to order the part in from Japan through Honda.
lol bro it was damo i gave a shout out to u in the syd thread.. hahaha.. yeah man what a trip out Ive seen 3 to maybe 4 CW ep3s near that area and your the first one to recognize what im rolling.. what are the chances of that seeing one ep3 and then seeing another.. actually that happened to me once at Mt Druitt white boy in a CW ep3 the guy didnt even realize what i was driving and then a minute later another CW ep3 i high beamed dude did nothing.. dam am I invisible? ;]
I'm planning to get an oil catch can for my ep. I have a feeling my oil is disappearing because it is evaporating from the occasional vtec's and recirculating back into the combustion chambers from the pcv system.
I did a compression test and they were healthy consistent numbers and no leaks. People only tell me I have black smoke when the car is vtec'ing but no one has said there was any blue/gray/white smoke. So I doubt the rings or valve stem seals are gone.
So I'm curious to know if nyone else have one installed because I would like know how they mounted it for the ep?
I'm also looking for a CUSCO one but I dunno how to tell between a fake a CUSCO oil catch to a genuine one. On ebay I see some selling for $70 or cheaper while JDMyard, perfectrun, jdmconcept sells them for $160 and over.
how many k's on your engine ? Chances are the pcv is loose or worn and never been replaced. It is designed to close at WOT so probably some oil vapour passes by.
Replace your pcv first.
Btw pretty sure this is the part number for the k20a2

Bought the car with 60,000km and 75,000km now (Though really it could be anything considering how easy it is change the cluster for all ep3)
Will see how pcv replacement goes.
Is the IACV the same as the PCV?
I remember you mentioned you've cleaned the IACV to fix up your idle issue.

Icb is located under the throttle body - it bypasses intake air and adjusts the idle
Mix as the coolant warms up.
The pcv ( positive crankcase valve) vents oil air vapour as it sucks from the cam cover past the piston rings and thru the oil cooler/seperator on the front of the engine block. It's alittle diaphragm with a spring that opens and closes and shuts closed at full
Throttle. This is why there is a murky film inside the throttle body and intake
Manifold - normal but you will use more oil if it's weakened or broken. So replace it !

what bulbs are you after? parker lights, plate lights, interior lights use t10 bulbs.

in that case h4's will fit if not look around the headlights for some codes/numbers
Hai, I'm going through the same thing at the moment. Got my H4 HID kit however I don't have the stock clamps to hold them in so have ordered them in through Honda - 3 week wait. Stock HID kit was using D2R bulbs so not too sure if the H4s will fit. Will let you know in three weeks time haha.
Just spoke with my friend who works as parts interpreter at Honda. He told me that if you are using the OEM clamps to hold in the bulbs then H4 will not fit. You need to get a D2R HID kit.
The HID kit from Honda costs $3-4k. :S
Is anyone running Buddy Club N+ coilovers on their EP3? The installer wasn't able to get the tie rod ends to sit completely into the hole on the coilovers. Hence, I can't use the cotter pin..

put an extra nut on the end & u'll be fine... add some loctite if you're paranoid about it coming loose.
Has anyone got their ep3 windscreens replaced?? Is it the same windscreens as the EU versions??? And where I could i get it replaced for a good deal? Thanks!
I had mine replaced at a Campsie Auto Glass for 368 fitted.
i used key's windscreens and cost me $200 (cash job).
Not sure where you are located but Key's operates out of a van so comes to you

is it windscreen changing season again? happens every 80-90 or so pages of this thread, i've noticed.. then its usually squeaky steering boot season.. then broken mount season, then light bulb replacement season..

thats very weird, speak about windshields woke up the other morning and was a huge crack on the driver's side from the very edge (about 20cm in length).
got a quote from o'brien, approx. $450 for supply/fit and they come to me
