I really do drive a hard bargain. And I was in the right place at the right time. The car had just arrived from detailing - had not yet been advertised - so an immediate sale would have saved the dealership $2000 in advertising. And I played hardball - basically described all the Modulo stuff and internal trim as "useless rubbish - worth heaps to the guy who put it in but almost nothing to me". They very quickly recognised that I was being truthful and that I was ready to buy, but at my price, not theirs. And the secret to buying at the right price is to mean it when you say you don't care if you buy today or not - because they know that if you walk out the door, they have less than an even chance of making the sale.
I'm more taken with the sports pedals actually - never would have even considered them, but they are terrific - practically impossible to slip on them.Quote:
I would like some pictures of your steering wheel. sounds pretty awesome
I'll take some photos inside and out once I've had the rest done.
afaik there is no factory seat upgrade (I could be wrong), and all the upgrades he put in there were factory installed (apart from the protection pack). I have no complaints about the driver's seat - it is far better than the electronic controlled leather seat that was in my old Mazda 6 Luxury Sports.Quote:
and im surprised with all the money the prev owner threw into it, they didnt get the seat upgrade. i heard that the euro has better leather sports seats u can upgrade to
I was far more surprised that he didn't go for the Nav version and didn't add in either the Honda or an after-market Bluetooth. Seemed like it was all for show, and then he either got bored with it or couldn't meet his repayments.

how many KMs on the odometer btw?
Reversing camera was a whopping great $26.99 including shipping - the manufacturer warns that shipping takes much longer than you might expect. I can vouch for that based on other stuff I've received recently from China. I don't expect it for at least another week, possibly two. Here is the current eBay listing but price has gone up to $29: http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI....=STRK:MEWNX:ITQuote:
and how much was the reversing camera that you ordered (and where from)
Do u plan on getting a inbuilt gps system installed?
There are no after-market inbuilt GPS units that I've found which include a 6-stacker CD, which I "need" - I'm a classical music nut. In any case they are all very expensive.
My 7" window-mount unit is pretty good, as I said, if a bit big - I've got it mounted dead centre, barely above the dash, where I don't find it blocks my vision. Because of its ginormous size, it takes only a glance to read, but it is a bit ungainly. It cost me $122 at auction but it's typical final auction price is more like $150 including delivery. The supplier says it works brilliantly as a reversing screen in his car. I'll only know once everything is installed. I'll keep you posted. Here is a current auction by the same seller: http://cgi.ebay.com.au/7-HD-CAR-GPS-...item27b973c7f7
Yes I'm getting the K&N installed tomorrow - just the drop-in filter, not the full air intake, which I suspect would make life difficult in the event of a warranty issue.Quote:
for the air filter, ur getting the KN air filter for the CU2 right? if so good choice. i can vouch for that extra zippiness
Cheers,
