oh well, luckily iknow ppl who work at honda dealers and family friends are mechanics so they do watever i want for service at ultra cheap prices :p

euro lux auto, volcanic metallic grey full tint floor mats 5 yr warranty, roadside assist, no bluetooth but modulo spoiler 43k when AUD was at low 80's after GFC
so for 40k thats a good deal. 3k saved can get u full mugen replica kit installed and painted with lowred suspension and money lefto er for CAI or part of some rims

Honda warranty said you have to service it correctly, but they didnt specify you HAVE to service it in a Honda dealer.

FOr my understanding as long as the car is service in the specified service interval(every 6months or 10k/20k/30k etc etc)by a licensed mechanic should be ok i guess. I can't see any fine print in the extended warranty statement the car has to be service at honda dealer....Unless i miss something.

Guys, first post on here. Am looking at a new auto Euro Luxury. Dealer has the normal retail price on the window, 42,990, but its a 2010 model and has made it very clear they will be very accomodating in negotiation. Question is what price should I expect to get it for? I'm taking a demo for a second run this weekend and expect to negotiate when I get back. I plan on only two accessories, accent lighting and towbar. I read on the forum that supplies are low from Japan and am I right that MY12 starts for new builds this month (June)? Although its new the car is almost old already. Out of interest, should finance or cash make any difference? Any advice welcome, I don't want to pay too much.

I have accent lighting as part of a whole set of accessories someone bought before me (I bought 2nd-hand). I definitely wouldn't pay for accent lighting - it is just not that hot in reality! As for discounts for 2010, the sky is the limit! Major new model about to be released. Car is already 6-months old so treat it like a 6-month old 2nd-hand car! i.e. at least 15% off as FINAL negotiated price. I'd be tempted to say "here's your $2000 deposit. No negotiations. Price is $36,500 with a tow-bar, accent lighting, tinted windows, i-pod connection, bluetooth, a 5-year factory warranty, (plus the first year's Honda Insurance without your commission!). Take it or leave it. And then SHUT UP and let them squirm for hours, trying to ratchet up the price or squeeze down the accessories. No matter what they say, that is your price, finally allowing yourself to be squeezed to $37,500 or $38,000. Turn up at 2pm and make sure you still have not budged by more than $500 and an accessory or two when it is just about nightfall. Until you have rejected the SALES MANAGER's first plea, negotiations have not really started. By the time you sign, it will be this salesman's only commission for the day and he will be desperate. As far as cash or finance, keep them guessing. Let them know you can pay cash, but you are considering finance either through them or elsewhere. If you are considering finance, make sure you have deals discussed and available through a finance broker AND a bank if possible, with TOTAL payout over the life of say a $38000 loan fixed in your head. Likewise have a couple of reputable quotes for insurance. Honda Insurance is GIO with a couple of neat extras - about 5% more expensive than GIO, but 20% of that price is commission.

Once they've taken your deposit, they'll send out the sexy busty blond to show you their paint protection and lot of other expensive add-ons. It's OK to look it her **** when you talk to her - that's why they are there! Paint protection is NOT useless if you park outside with birds or bats regularly dropping their presents on you. I can't think of any other situation where it is useful. Their markup is way over 50% so keep that in mind.

Are those D/A pricing?
It should be around that prices with no accessories at all.

Those prices are NOT drive away,I have just checked on the Honda website,so add about 10 percent extra to get the DEIVE AWAY prices.

But the prices are VERY good,but the resale on my 1 year old Euro has probably taken a knock.

Honda need the DIESEL and WAGON,NOT constant price reductions...
