lower seems tighter but require more effort.
but it's sweet :p

hey guys just curious, when accelerating up to speed (a suitable speed not vtec) do you guys get a whistling-like sound as you speed up?
As in, it sounds as though the valve cylinders open up more as you speed up?
I got FD2R gear knob as well, love it, my ep3 shifts perfect and so far I got no 2nd gear problem
cheapest would be direct from gruppe m. but that was before the dollar dropped like crazy.
i got mine directly from gruppe m japan and when i bought it they had a discount thing going on but they stopped it now.
Try talking to this bloke XP02ED on ozhonda forums. He gets the gruppe m for the integras and is currently doing it for the new civic type r's ask him if he can get 1 for ur ep3 if ur interested and at what price he can do it at.
Good Luck :D
hmmm thinking at getting one now lol 13kws is awesome
i think the whistling noise is the intake, stock still sounds pretty loud
stoj19, i agree with you buddy.
13KWATW increase from CAI is CRAZY!
its a pretty cheap mod to me for that many kw's gain imo.
you must've felt a big difference aye Steve?
wonder what bolting on a full exhaust with headers will give you.
the 13kw gain sounds impressive on paper and i must say it's an excellent result from a CAI alone (although exxy but very good quality).
however iirc, the dyno sheet revealed most gain is at the top end after vtec kicks in. obviously there are gains at the mid range but not as dramatic.
my point is, when choosing a CAI, it is important to look at cost/benefit. there are others CAI that are cheaper with less peak gain but might have similar mid range gain. we should consider our application b4 spending $1k on a CAI.
also consider the clearance issue with some after market tower bar and Gruppe M CAI. ie. apparently only J's Racing ones will fit, Cusco/Carbing won't.
what bout a mugen intake?
