Best is to custom your own turbo kit imo for the fd's
yo stig. If I didn't want the headache of piecing together a turbo kit can you recommend a good garage that could do it and tune it as well? I'm thinking ak motorworks atm...do you think it would work out better than buying a pre assembled kit for around 4k from the states and modifying it to fit? Id hope to spend 5k max drive away tuned. Is that too low budget?

tuning: try raymond from A.R.T in heidelberg
or give one of the guys from chasers a call from the westside of town, chasers mostly do evo's but no harm asking if they can tune a turbo fd2
thing about the kits from the states is their ecu, not many people have experience tuning it here and its pretty average imo, so waste of money when its part of the kit
if you can get the kit itself without the ecu and get a better ecu locally or from jdmland then go for it
what kind of local ecu would you say is worth using? wolf? link?
apparently the apexi fc is pretty easy to tune and use
as in for local ecu, i have no idea lol havent done much research on local ecu's

roof-spoiler i got off aero fell off luckily while still at home so need to find proper 3m brand double sided tape to get it back on.

You know what? I never had a target power output in mind. I don't expect a FWD car on stock internals and drivetrain to be able to pull off a great amount of power, but having said that I would hope to expect an increase of 50-100hp. I am more concerned with it still being able to be a reliable daily so I don't want to go the full length.
But as with anything cars, once you start you never know where you'll end.
Hi guys just want to ask a quick question.
I just got coilovers (DGR) install today. While I was driving home I keep hearing like something in my boot was jumping up and down and i thought it might have just been the OEM coil and things. I took everything out when i got home and went to fill up my car. Still the noise is there like a toolbox going up and down but everything is out of the boot.
Any ideas what it could be?
the locking keys might not be tightened enough?
mayb you haven't tightened the top mount to the right torque?

If you're wondering why I didn't get fuel management with the kit it's because the kit came with Hondata Flashpro and my ECU does not support it :(

Any reason why you don't want to go through SRS?
I bought my RR front bar there, and I know there's at least one other kit in Sydney that originated from SRS Auto.

Congrats on taking the 1st steps towards a turbo build, but 130kw atw seems a bit low for turbo? Alot of R18's in states easily push pass 200kw mark on low boost (check 8thCivic.com Forum), I would think K20Z should have more potential with the higher displacement?Quote:

Well then I've been underestimating my car's potential lol. We'll just have to wait and see ;) I know the 8thcivic site pretty well...I tried for ages to purchase a used kit from there to no avail. I also get most of my info from that site.
BTW I expect lots of torque and crazy wheelspin but I won't be launching often so LSD won't be necessary I suspect

I've been lurking these forums ever since I got a Civic but was never able to join because I didn't have a non generic email blah blah. Anyway, I'm quite new to the mods so I was just wondering if people could help me with sourcing a Mugen lip kit, I tried jspecsingapore.com but they don't sell it anymore which was pretty sad :P
Anywho, at the mean time I have a budget of about $2000 for mods (excluding fitting costs etc.) but yeah, what are some exterior mods to do!
