that is truly the NEXT LVL YO !
once again andrew, you have amazed us all...
"rushed pictures?"
they are some really good pictures in my opinion, and the paint job that AJ's did look so good, it looks like OEM!
love the overlay as well.
as for the pictures of the crazy russian mod, very typical, russians are always and WILL always be one step ahead of us in mods haha. THAT IS FREAKEN CRAZY, maybe VEILSIDE might make an extreme bodykit for our CU2 similar to that hehe.
Haha thanks Simon! Yea mate those Russians know how to mode and his whole car is diy! He got that stock as a rock. And when he's finished the wide body kit he's gonna put spacers in for flushness. Cars gonna have bulls**t camber hahaha
Hahaha a veilside kit for our cu2 would be aggressive!
far fkn out!!...good find!!! wide body kit ftw!! BEAST! haha...
by the way Andrew -> is this the CAI you got?? :P Let me know!
Cheers!
H&R Springs, 19 TN4s on 235//35... steady! Hopefully before Christmas, new all clear headlights (no ambered signals).
Oh i got mine from this guy for the CAI. very fast delivery.
would have to ask my local mechanic if it is possible.. Just waiting for my exams to be over to install my CAI cant wait!!! and im loooking for spoiler as well... bodykit kingdom is selling it fo 80 i think... just nt sure if i should paint it in sydney or get it done by bodykit kingdom as well
hey tony yea that is the same model number that i got. I got the polished version, stands out a bit better. hahaha
just a quick question for everybody.. what do you guys reckon about black wheels on a black car.
i was thinking about getting these 20's in black, and if I change my mind I might repaint them.
black on crystal black is freaken hot. especially in 20's,
some guy posted this picture somewhere in this thread a while back, i saved it into my pictures folder on my computer for inspiration.
http://i96.photobucket.com/albums/l175/aznvi/yummy.jpg
looks so nice *drools.
on another note guys, i just bought these from ebay only because my friend, who owns a CL9, just installed them and looks freaken great!
and also, LOVING THE AUD to USD Conversion Rate!
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/TEIN-...-/260682907236
should turn out a little something like this when it's all settled in:
http://i96.photobucket.com/albums/l175/aznvi/teins.jpg
perfect height for me, i live near alot of speed humps so the drop's just perfect
future modifications after this will be: fog lights (with H.I.D Conversion), some sort of decent second hand rims (hopes Andrew sells his old rims to me), then perhaps finally go for Mugen Lip Kit from Paul.
hey simon! your gonna love the teins!! will look awsome on your car!! i dont have pics at the moment but i did end up buying them. I just want something different on the car, for now. They arent deep dish. That pic that you posted up is Gerwins CU2. He goes under the name of mugen_86
he used to be around the forums a bit before, havent seen him around in a while. His rims are deep dish and staggered mine will be just flush 20s so hopefully will look a bit bigger than mine at the moment.
Im going to post my rims on ebay, pm us simon with an offer :)
heres a pic of the wheels im getting but in black
http://nicsharnewheels.com/images/wheels/bms/halo.jpg
hopefully should look good.
guys, maybe consider this... add a bit of luxury feel to your Euro

whoa...... andrew, what a find!!
Hey guys, was driving back from work and I heard some car take off which sound like a BEAST rex...turns out it was a friggin Volcano Grey CU2!!! I was friggin amazed...Looked very stock too...Wonder what he's done to his engine? haha
Haha Tony. It's funny because my friends have said the same thing to me when they cruise with me and see me take off. All I've to my engine is remove the 'pollution filter from our stock intake tubing. If you guys don't know what I'm talking about, have a look at you intake piping now and you will notice a black cube block sticking out on the side of the piping. My H.I.D installer (wh owns a tank ass evo, and did the same thing as a cheap substitute as a louder intake) suggested I take it off and fill the left over hole with a bathroom plug from bunnings if I want it to sound a little more agressive. Honestly I didn't notice much difference except more of a suction noise. But my friends seemed to notice it :S . I can take photos of it if you like.
Oooh really! Please show, I think that's what Andrew did with his before his intake...If it's not too much hassle man :D
whats the cheapest/best option for springs? cause $200ish is a bargain but i remember there were several otehr offerings other than Tein
also, anyone know if Paul from bodykits kingdom mentioned anything about Mugen spoiler?
also (off topic) anybody notice felix was on mighty car mods at the melbourne autosalon? lol
Oh Lemonhead!! By the way, how'd you go with the side skirt man? Doesn't look like you've installed it yet :P
not too sure to be honest, any idea how much are HNR springs are?
Paul hasn't mentioned to me about the Mugen spoiler or anything lately...he usuallys gives me an update on any new stock haha
Hi guys, where can I buy this Lexus ls460 tip? Can I cut the type s kit in order to install this ls460 tip?
Thank you :-)
Thank you for the quick reply :)
this is the one that I referred to: Page48. The Rear bumper bar exhaust tip :)
Here's a DIY video of me removing the intake resonator
Also towards the end you'll see me doing a fitment test on a type s front lip @ 7:45
took me about 10 minutes to do everything
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zk0LNwah374
hey man check out my video above. the pollution filter is probably the same as the intake resonator. its on the driver side near the wheel well. its only 2 bolts. make sure to remove your bumper and pull down and twist it. that resonator is what makes the car quiet.
my car sounds like a beast when it hits 3k rpm.
looking for new wheels. whats the offset ?
since my mechanic didnt wanna lower my car then prob 20"
cuz he said theres no camber kit for it so it will wear my tires lol
whats a good offset?
Hi defconskylude,
I called Sydney Lexus already, but the don't sell only the exhaust tip. I found a website in the state. I will ask them if they can send to sydney :-)
By the way, how's your DIY going? Managed to install the Lexus Ls 460 tip yet? Do you mind to upload a photo of it if you've done it?
Thank you
Thank you
i had these installed a year ago

Defcon, I looked through your thread but couldn't find it, but what rims are those currently on there? They look really nice.
i'm getting Tein S Tech Lowering Springs! just bought em officially, and they should be coming in around 3-4 days, will take photos of that for sure to show the drop ;)
as for my photos of the "pollution filter removal" haven't had time to, uni exams and work...
i'm pretty sure defcon's resonator removal is much more effective though, i just searched up some youtube vidoes of other cars removing intake resonator, and there's a a massive difference!
thanks again defcon
euroRwannabe,
yea man no problem. once i found out about that free mod, i had to do it. its really easy. makes it easier if you guys remove the bumper.
nice exhaust :)
Wow you can paint it your self :-)
I wished I got that skill hahaha
Thank you for Sharing defconsklude:-)
well here they are:

http://i96.photobucket.com/albums/l1...i/IMG_0443.jpg
this is what i noticed:
after taking it off and revving on Idle, much more deeper suction noise, sounds a little more aggressive.
I was suggested that i were to fill the left over hole with a bathroom plug, which i didn't have at the time, so i had to drive to bunnings with a hole in my intake!
Suction noise while driving was much more different than stock at around 3000 rps.
Here's the funny thing. I came to a stop at a red light, and the steering wheel started to shake, and my engine completely shut off, followed by two lights on the dashboard: "Oil" and "Battery" lights came on.
I SHIT MYSELF, I WAS STRANDED IN THE MIDDLE OF A MAIN ROAD!
my friend who was with me at the time remained calm and told me to chuck my hazard lights on and pop my hood again, he ran to the front, shoved the block back in and told me to start it, fortunately it did..
I'm thinking that the ECU thought there was an oil leak or battery fail (hence the lights) which was forcing hot air into the intake (since i was driving with a hole in my intake), so it shut off automatically?
So i ended up getting the bathroom plug to replace the block, with the hole covered, didn't sound as deep as an open hole.
Overall conclusion: Not worth doing.
defcon's modification of removing the resonator looks much more effective for a cheap substitute for a loud intake.
Simon! That must have scared the sh*t outta ya! Like some of the brissie boys suggested I removed my intake resonator and it is loud as! I never had any problems with error lights etc. It is a cheap alternative to a short ram intake. And its quite loud 3000rpm and up. So I reckon u go for that option. It won't cost you a cent(unless you don't have the tools)
On another note with error lights; if anyone gets a ethrottle booster make sure you secure it well. I got lazy and had the box sitting on the platform just above the pedals and it rolled around and slipping out of it's connectors. Result; VSA light and check engine light. Once I pushed the connectors back in the lights were off.
Note for anyone who does the resonator removal then goes to cai. The cai is definately not as loud as short ram or with the resonator removed but you do feel the difference in acceleration in mid revs and high revs.
hey, guys. wat brands of ethrottle boosters r u using? r they good for fuel consumptions as well ?
want one of those hood lift dampers for my cu2, don't seem to exist, there are plenty hood dampers for jazz and civic, not cu2, the closest one i can find on ebay is american 1st gen tsx ones, dont think they'll fit though. any ideas ?
Hey mate I'm using a buddyclub ethrottle and honestly don't drive much without it. In regards to fuel consumption I have my set on pretty high so I hit 3000rpms quickly but I havent notice any effects on fuel consumption. As with hood lift dampers I haven't seen any for our cu2s and I'm pretty sure the gen 1 tsx or cl9 wouldn't suit our cu2
Whoa...so much updates haha...I haven't been getting anything in my email for some reason :S...anyways I shall remove my resonator over the long uni holidays...last exam tomorrow!! WOOOOO!! Wish me luck yo :P
TONY! haha same goes to me too mate, resonator removal FTW! haha.
springs just arrived at my door today, will install them next week most likely, so look out for photos :D
future mods after springs installed: fog lights (with H.I.D conversion), some sort of after market rims, then finally mugen replica lip kit and grill.
Yewww!!! Haha...yeah at uni cramming right now :(...but can't wait to see the mods come together man!...Hopefully I have the time to organise the installation of the Mugen kit these holidays too :D
edit: I was considering springs but I'll probably won't get it...I have enough troubles getting up my gay driveway everyday I take the CU2 out haha
DUMPED!

hasn't all settled in yet, i'll give it 3-4 days until it is. But loving the quality of the Tein S Tech.
EDIT:
been 2 days now, and noticed a massive settle in!
http://i96.photobucket.com/albums/l1...i/IMG_0459.jpg
was on my break at work with a coke bottle, so i thought, WHAT THE HELL haha!
OFF TOPIC:
quick question,,
when u guys see other cu2, how do u feel?
i always seem to find myself smiling and asking, "does my car look that goooood?!"
New to this forum/thread.
Question: does Honda warranty/insurance cover the replica bodykit if I put them on my cu2? These bobykits should be like extra accessories to the car, right?
nice simon!! looks good bro! bet your thinking to yourself how did I ever get around without them! hahahha
had to get on the 100th page of our thread! great milestone guys hopefully we can get it to 200!!!!
yes 100 pages, well doen people!!
I have just dropped my Euro with the Eibach Pro-spring, but noted a fair bit of 'in-toeing' with the rear wheels after. Did you guys noted that after dropping your cars?
i have booked in for an alignment tomorrow as I may wear out those new 19" tyres if i don't do anything about it.
