honda_FD, you got the lip and arms didnt ya ;) ;)
Lol Nah bro.
I got the Arms not the lip. Too much of a hassle bringing it over so envoytheguy
Sold it locally. A car as low as mine with fiberglass parts dont go well with each other.
I'll end up breaking the lip within a few weeks.
So now there may be another FD in sydney running around with the same lip as yours..
Looks like you got competitiion
Who's sexy quad tone FD is that? <3
Hey fellas, been doing abit more research on the PWJDM powerchamber intake that Im wanting to get. I found this DIY from the 8th Gen guys stateside.
http://www.8thcivic.com/forums/diy-h...er-intake.html
It pretty much raises a few issues:
1- I would require a Flashpro(ECU tune?) in conjuction with this intake. With reference to Stevil's Turboed R18 with a flashpro mentioned in another thread, would it be detremental or just plain unadvisable to run this whale penis intake without a flashpro? If so, is it advisable to run flashpro with it's cost and is it available in Aus at this current time? (as the thread was outdated).
2- Reccomended to have a small heatshield on the small section of hose to protect it from heatsoak from the radiator hose. Is this negligable?
3- Would the Oddyssey Battery which apparently has a lower ampage with a cold start, stop me from performing a jump start on it if I ever run it flat? Dunno if this question even makes sense, lol.
Im totally lost as the more I read, the more Im over my head with expertise.
Might go look up the Gruppe M intake if the PWJDM whale penis has alot more potential issues.
Easy question- Im getting getting new wheels and having a chat with my tyre guy. Asking whats the tyre load rating on my car with 18". But just me or does our tyre placard not have anything more than our stock 17" rim specs? Im referring to the placard on our drivers side door frame, if there is another placard I might have missed?
Inb4 CEL issues thread
Wut
M8
Intake is just an intake, no need for flashpro, no need for heat shield, and Wot do you have oddysey battery? Jump starting won't effect it anyway.
Intake won't give you massively huge Omg gains, so no point needing to do anything except install and enjoy loud ivtecs
If you need a hand just ask in watapps brah

said who? What are you trying to do? Make power or sound? the latter will be more successful. You are not going to make any appreciable power in a hurry while staying NA. Take a look at xenonkuraz's tuning adventure.
Also with regard to the ECU, pick an ECU that someone can tune, not by what the internet says is good.

any headshielding is good. especially with a whale penis breathing in hot air all day

No, a jump start is what you do when the battery doesn't have enough energy to start the car... so you'll be more likely to need a jump.

it's only an intake m8, you are really splitting hairs.

well of course not - the car only ever came with 17's so it won't talk about 18s. Here is some info about what the tyre ratings mean. You're best off getting the same... but generally most tyres are made for the commo/falcons in mind so you'll be right in a light car like the civic
If you want cheap and pretty decent tyres, take a look the achilles ATR sport tyres - the guys at SVS do a pretty good deal there.
