I am on the evo8 enkei as well..what tyres are you using? Im still on the stock 235/45/17 allround and lowered 15mm allround with mugen suspensions.Quote:

I am on 215/45 but it want to go 205. It doesn't rub only at full lock over a big bump. When I had the stock tires and was only on king springs it would rub a bit. I have my set of king springs you could have for 100$ if you are interested, have a look on my intro thread how the car satQuote:

I went and bought a battery from Battery World (same as the last one) for $120. Took 5 minutes to swap as you guys would know.
Anyway, this morning (-3) I turned the key and the engine made the cranking noise.
Does hybrid start off they hybrid battery and not the 12v engine one? Hope me big battery isn't dying. $$$$$$$$$ :(. Yay!!!!!!

If you're rubbing when you're turning then try putting the dampers up. if its on max then go for 215/40.
I honestly wouldnt go any lower than 215/40 as it is skinny enough. I used to have the same problem and going from
a 45 profile to a 40 profile made a HUGE difference.

Do you know anyone with mugen suspensions on their fd? The springs + struts non-adjustable ( i read damper is 5 click adjustable). Just wanna find out anyone swap them springs with others brands.
Why do you want to get a small diameter? Hitting potholes and bumps with small profile tyres are noisy and can easily damage the rim.Quote:

Our rear is separate so that shouldnt be a problem. Only 1 bolt and it comes out. Just take it to a Suspension specialist just to confirm.

I am from Perth WA. Sorry for the no intro and popping out of nowhere but have been avid fans of Ozhonda members rides. I just brought my fd1 about 3 weeks ago. First mod in was the mugen showa coilovers and then the 17x8 enkei.
Perhaps i should rephrase" smallest wheel diameter" to best tyres size for handling and looks based on 17x8 rims. I really adore the setup that you and chrischris have but i don't think i can pull it off knowing lowering springs will take 1-2inch off. Hence trying to go lower by changing tyres size without touching the springs or affect the ride too much. I do agree with you that my springs could possibly be swapped.
I was inspired by the first FD Type R concept by SPOON based on a FD1 chasis many years ago. They had a F20 head on a K20a block inside.
