My left window decided to derail itself from the window rails while i was on the way to uni, so i pretty much left the car window up for a good 2 hours.... scary as hell LOL... had no choice ... but now its fixed :D
My EK was overheating today, Think one of the radiator hoses has burst of below the I.M. Took it to a workshop so we'll see what they say. Fingers crossed nothing serious...
Ordered Hasport engine mounts, New torque mounts and a replacement cat.
Filled all the locks(doors, ignition and boot) with graphite powder.
Cleaned and checked all the door and boot seals.
Cleaned and silicon sprayed the boot/hatch struts.
Washed the seatbelts with hot soapy water then risned them with hot water to fix the retractors.
Cleaned floor mats.
Replaced the dodgy switch for my glovebox light with a stronger switch as i broke the last one :)
Interesting i wasnt aware of that :) Seems like a good idea tho :)
You can take the belts off but i went for the lazy way first and tried to clean them while they were still attached and without removing any panels.
I just grabbed a bucket of Hot water(as hot as you can go without burning your hands) with a few drops of concerntrated dishwashing liquid and a clean cloth and sat in the car with the bucket on my lap. Then you pull the belt out as far as it goes and put as much of the belt in the bucket as you can then start rubbing the belt with the cloth soaked in hot soapy water.
once you have rubbed down the whole belt i just wrapped it around the drivers seat and handbrake to keep the belt out so it would dry faster. Once its dry if its still not retracting wash it with hot water and no soap to remove any excess soap.
If your still having problems after that you can silicon spray the belt to help it retract.
Wadup Hasport mounts! picked these up today now just gotta wait for the other parts to arrive :)

Lol I ive done the mounts before, Some of mine were crack/too soft so i took them off and filled them with polyurethane as a cheap fix to get me by untill i got new mounts :) definatly not fun but should only take a couple of hours.
No worries mate, no im a security officer lol:thumbsup:, been pulling apart motorbikes, cars and electronics since i was little so you learn things along the way :)
