is outside, was thinking inside, but too much trouble..... but outside look the same and easier, just need the waterproof led strip

so how does it look without turning it on like in the day time? any up close shot?
LOL looks nice. I think need a less-dense strip or something if you really wanted the Audi R8 look. This looks more like a strip of light as opposed to the individual LEDs. Maybe this is the next big thing after BMW angel eyes?
man thats a nice area u live in looks really peacefull...nice spoiler btw
also...is anybody here thinking about boosting yet?...those who dont have their p's i mean
yeh, haha those were the 15" alloys that the dealer gave me.
thinking of getting some nice 17s laters
there are a few r18 turbo kits in the us, still trying to figure out if its worth it
ive seen some videos on youtube with r18a turbo it seems pretty good
very pricy to turbo our car. I think our car is more for looks rather than being fast. But doesnt hurt to try to make it go faster :P
anyone know if the body parts of the fd2/fd2r will fit the fd1?? like the cf bonnet for fd2 will fit fd1? and can i get the fd2r coilovers and put them in my fd1?
civic 07 --> where'd u get that red steering wheel badge from?

by any chance do you live in campsie ? lol i see a civic very similar to yours.
and thats pretty much the new trend, out with the bmw style angel eyes and in with the r8 LED eyes =)
damn that looks nice
are you going to post up a DIY anytime soon bro?
Agree with musers... I wasn't going to modify my civic.. but after seeing that - I think I might!
Hey Guys,
Just did a test fit of the rims im gonna get for my civic. Borrowed 2 of the rims off a mate - who i think is on this forum (siknis, cheers bro)
any way - wasnt sure if they would fit or not being 20's. to my surprise they fit quite easily.
i will be getting coilovers to lower it more (its been lowered about 1.4 inches).
feel free to comment - looks a bit like a rollerskate at the height in the photos but once the coilovers go in it will be tuckin rim :P (i added a real dodgy pic that i 1 second photoshoped of around the height it will sit)
phlirt --> are u planning to roll the guards to dump it that low to prevent scrubbing and turning problems hitting the sides of the fenders? what width tyres do you have on those 20s, 8.5? I heard 30 profile tyres are really expensive, how often would they need to be replaced?
applio --> what site did u get those 12 SMT high powered LEDs from? Do all interior ones have to measure 30 x 40mm to fit?
those rims are 8 inch wide and have a 225/30 tyre on it. the rear i will roll to prevent scrubbing but surprisingly they clear the guard well enough as is. the front i will roll - test turning yesterday and the wheels at that height still can achieve full lock without hitting either the inside or outside - i will lower it until they are just not touching. you can pick a 30 profile tyre in 20inch for around 200-220 here in canberra. would replace the tyres as needed - prob about once every 6 months.
DMX
Can you source this parts ?
Happy --> yes I'd love to get one of those shiny Automatic gear boxes too
oh dear...
1. yes, but too late, my shipment just arrived yesterday.

2. and OMG... before i offered some of you this white Carbon Fiber for steering wheel trim, and everyone said, ugly + looks fake. prefer the black CF.
i forced him to give me the black CF (not in production anymore so he has to collect one by one from all his branches shop). and now..don't tell me, someone want the white CF ones
but truly, the white ones looks "fake" :D
http://i171.photobucket.com/albums/u...DSC07164-1.jpg
compare the black CF ones
http://i171.photobucket.com/albums/u.../IMG_3140r.jpg
this ones JDM CTR
http://i171.photobucket.com/albums/u...ivic_r_040.jpg
anyway, it's personal preference;)
white CF for gear and handbrake looks good if without TYPE R logo. Black CF is also sexy, matches the gear wrap and knob. Only disappointing thing is that theres no CF handbrake but only a leather cover. I think the white CF will match quite nicely with stock interior trim set which is also silver but no CF print
whats with all the gauges?....boost gauge lol?
so are those black CF for the gearbox, handbrake and steering wheele purchasable from anywhere?
Would be good to know how to install the handbrake CF. If anyone knows how, please share.
i still have 1 left that black CF steering wheel trim (but for me).
give me a few days to re-think (install or sell, install or sell, ah..hard to decide..:p)
pm me if anyone want, and for CF gear/handbrake panel too.

genuine honda parts:thumbsup:
how much?
I got a Q for all you who have done a custom cat-back... not just FD1 specific I suppose:
The place I went to today to get info on a custom cat-back said the piping they'd use would be a quarter of an inch wider than stock. Now they said that any bigger there'd be issues with low end due to the backpressure being lessened. So you guys with the custom catbacks, did they use slightly bigger piping and did you notice any loss in the low end. It sounds like you're giving up torque in the low end for some more torque in the high end - which is useless on a daily driver.
So whats the go here, will a quarter inch larger piping make any difference in the low-end? Experiences?
i thought 2.25" was perfect for our car? Our stock i think is 1.6"-1.75" (confirm?). Raising it by 1/4 inch will just barely make 2". Maybe 2" is the way to go? Would like some confirmation too as im getting my muffler next week.
i think were about 1.6" and ive heard a 1/4 inch wont really do much...but hey...thats me...
i think between 2 and 2.25 would be perfect, as it is perfect for most NA cars, more than 2.5 heads into the Forced induction range and K series boyz. its a honda, low end power is usually non existant, i think your wasting your time paying big bux, for a .25" increase in pipe size... i think mandrel bend 2.25" SS piping is your best bet, then if u lose low end or watever, upgrade your intake and it'll make up for the loss
Hot stuff !!! 13 pcs. cheap too
http://i171.photobucket.com/albums/u...da/blackcf.jpg
from here
wow, nice, very tempting :D
are you stocking them for sale? if so how much?
do we need to remove the stock trim to fit the above or just put over it?
http://i253.photobucket.com/albums/h...mian8/Trim.jpg
that link does supply email address - looking at that pic looks like LHD for the panels around the power windows etc do they stock RHD
its right hand driving. The bit thats longer and curves down is suppose to be closer to the outside of the car. Look closely at the pic i supplied and you will see
ah yes - my mistake - must have been sleepy last night lol
does anyone know where the "DISTRIBUTOR" is on a Civic FD2? Ignore that red circle.
http://i253.photobucket.com/albums/h...n8/engine2.jpg
Thanks
u got the mugen gear!
lol, thats not my engine. But i do have a blue mugen oil cover and the same reservoir cover :p
No distributor as such as firing pulse comes from the ECU
I finally removed the headlamp chrome surrounds. Thanks to ny911 and ej20i... and jo_e for his company.
got the full mugen kit fitted on the weekend. The qaulity of the kit is amazing. Looks better on white cars in photos, but in real life even better in black :) also debadged the vti on the back.. Considering removing the civic badge... Just leaving the rear honda badge.
pics or ban
lol, i cant believe ur deciding between eyelids or projectors. You know my answer :p
Eyelids- already paid for them, and it'll cost another $50 to get professionally painted and installed. Probably can sell for $25 or so.
Projectors- need to buy the projectors module PLUS new HID bulbs to make use of my existing Mu ones, and then installation costs.
it's more to do with the HIDs i already have... to upgrade to the projector ones, buy the new h7 bulb, and then get it all installed i'm looking at $400aud+ which just isn't worth it for something which isn't really going to do anything. if i was gonna spend that on changing something i already changed, i might as well save it and put it towards rims lol.
You can buy bulbs at about $40 each. Keep your exisiting ballasts.
What do you mean its not going to do anything? Its projected light and makes the car look hot. Then you can say why spend $1k on a bodykit which does nothing but looks? I think the projector headlamps is one of the best mods available for our FD.
does anyone know if these are legal and if so any recommendations if there good or not?
http://www.nengun.com/bellof/spec-le-mans
As in, because I've already modified headlights before and that cost me nearly $400, I don't think it's worth spending another $400 more on it. Would rather use the money for something else. Simple. If I hadn't done the HIDs before, and if I wasn't saving up for next car's mods, then I probably would get the projectors but as it stands now I think I'll pass. Probably just pop the eyelids on this weekend.
well, youll only need to spend another $100 or less to change the bulbs. Thats the only differrence.
Again, its up to you. Since you have mugen kit, led tail lamps, why not go for eagle eyes. I think the eyelids arent worth $50 to spray. Thats pretty much the $$$ for new bulbs.
Maybe I'll end up doing nothing lols. Might go looking for rims this weekend.
Got any in mind atm?
I'm thinking of saving up for 17" 5zigen Proracer GN+ either in the hyperblack or their new HMC colour.

eyelids or projectors - definetly projectors mate no question about it ....
to me eyelids looks not that good , i would prefer stock headlights w/ out eyelids rather than w/ eyelids
pay a bit extra $$ but you will get priceless satisfaction....
