Hey steve, id be choosing between g3s and a539s because i have already tried some gyf1s that were the top of the gy range at that time and i was not 100% satisfied with them as i mentioned earlier.
Proxes are good imo but if i were going to get a new design like such, id go with something more differentiated like the falken azenzis. Proxes 4 resembles the typical performance tyre imo, and if i wanted that id get the g3s which i know to have a rimguard (very useful with 17" rims with 40 profiles!!!) but i don't know if proxes 4 have the rimguards.
For milage, yoko are the way to go. Our family has used yokos for years and find them so durable and look decent too. To my belief, there are many good reviews on the a539, and many peeps recommend them.
G3s have number 1 reputation so ud be safe with them, it depends if u want to try something new and different. Its ur choice in the end, but getting them in ur size is gonna be pretty pricey! I've bought tyres for 215/45/17 and my wallet is still recovering.
