UK site, will they ship to aust?

it's tremendously cheap on some tyres! Yokohama parada for instance on 205-40-17, cost 290e! E-mail them to find out whether they ship to Australia
Lucky that I got my tyres from Tirerack.com when the dollar was over 90 US cents! Hate to fuel the already burning economical fire, but the tyres weren't made in Australia anyway, and I'm not a fan of funding reselling business'.
Perhaps 290euro for a set of four? Still might set you back a hefty sum with the value of our currency. Shipping will be brutal.

it's 73.77e per tyre!
Hey people,
I have an ek civic and jsut got some 15x6.5 rotas here. Looking for tyre recommendations as its my first car! Thinking of RE001s in 205/50/15. Are they still 120 per corner. I'm thinking of lowering the car a little in future. What about Toyo T1-S/Rs?
Am I going for the right profile tyre?
yoko AD07's
toyo proxes4!!!:thumbsup::thumbsup:
is ad07 still in production?
No they've stopped making them, the new AD08 is coming out in 09

Advan AD07 205/45/16: Very good grip in dry condition, wet condition undetermined, tread wears pretty quick, best wen heated up

Ventus HR II H405 205/40/17: very good dry grip, average to shitty in wet condition, tread wear is low, once too heated they let loose

After owning AD07's for a while and giving them an absolute hiding on a few occasions I can say they wear very well against something like Potenza RE001, the only area they aren't superior is road noise. Recently I examined the tread for wear patterns and found it impossible to prove the tyre has been thrashed.
Known as the fastest road tyre by many US reviews, they are very good in the wet also. In my experience no heat up is needed to get their best, yet they feel just as good when hot.
Hmmmm...
Sounds sexy lol =P
Wear good against the RE01-R or RE001 Boss?
Thinking of getting different tyres atm...
lol
Against the RE001 Adrenaline.
Technically the AD07 is vs RE01R. The RE01R has been replaced by the RE111R, in comparison after 10 laps of the Ebisu circuit in MX5's the AD07 showed minimal wear, had the most consistent lap times but got overtaken by RE111R lap 8 or 9. After the race the Bridgestone, Dunlop & Toyo all looked blistered, but the AD07 looked relatively normal.
AD08 due out mid year and is even better, it's my next tyre for sure.
Yeah, heard about the RE11 and the AD08s :)
It'll be interesting to see how the AD08s go...
Curious man, you use AD07 daily? Relatively speaking, how long they last you?
anyone can give me a review of toyo R1R and michelin pilot preceda pp2?
RE01-R im running these atm and they are very good
very similar to my other wheels with ad07's
really cant split them
how much did you get them for 90lan...
anyone running pzero?? share us with your review pls :)
just shopping around for next tyre which i had the following in mind re001 adrenalins, toyo proxes t1rs, proxes 4.
price check on those...
adren: 200 give or take 5 per tyre + F&B, S&A $65
t1r: 175 F&B S&A 49
proxes 4: 159 F&B S&A 49
i think im leaning towards t1rs atm i thought they were alright price for 205/55/15s considering another place quoted 348 :S.
how many kms has ppl got out of these and is there a major difference between proxes 4s and t1rs
cheers
running toyo T1R on my euro and have to say its comfortable, road noise is minimal and pretty grippy in wet/dry hard turning.
Wear on my tyres is a bit stuffed due to my alignment but its reasonable and have been running them for a few months.
just got r1r yesterday in 205/50/15.. compared to my 195/55/15 ad07.. fairly similar though highspeed i'd say ad07's better even though they're in 195.. but the r1r is good coz it's got stiffer sidewalls than ad07.. but road feedback ad07 i like more, but probably because i'm more used to it.. get r1r if you can't get ad07
how much i should be looking at for RE001 225/40/R18?
What are other tyres should i be looking at for just street use?
Anyone use Nankang NS2 before? I saw only $153 on ebay... are they any good?
anyone had experience with both the bridgestone adrenalin re001's and the falken rt615's before? wondering if it's worth the extra $30/corner to go with the falkens
Hey, there are heaps of brand they all good i guess.
I've had a kumho 195/55/15 not sure which one but got for 140 each they last pretty long I've had it for 2 years now (4x,xxxKm) still on 70% thread.
Toyo T1R $180 each 205/45/16
I got quote Falken 452 tyres 225/40 ZR18 92Y x4 tyres included shipping to melbourne for about $1000 from http://www.demon-tweeks.co.uk/produc...KN2055516FK452
is this a good deal?
I haven't used proxes4's but have TPG's. Big difference between t1r's & tpg's. (especially in wet) i've ran two sets of t1r's on front, they lasted between 15k-17k km's. if rotated regularly, & alignment problem fixed, probably would've last longer. But that was on front wheels for life of tyres.
hi my t1rs are wearing out to the belt on the inside of my front tyres. they like lasted me for about 5 months >_<
anyone can recommend a good budget tyre and/or good tyre shop in perth. 205/45/16.
5 months? how many k's?
you better get a wheel alignment before getting new tyres or it's just money down the drain
yeh i suspect i had a dodgy wheel alignment done. or they didn't do one at all last time. don't know how many k's i did... not many ne way i only use my car on the weekend...
sh1t gab!! that was fast ! !WTF ? 5 months????
have you try Sumitmoto i'm using it it's quite cheap yet pretty quiet n good handling. 5 month for a set of tyres you must be pretty hard driving. where about perth u r? me in joondalup. BJ n Ian diff( TTF now) up in joondalup is both quite ok on price.
how much approx are advan ad07's 205 45 16
265 now each
Hey guys
With a 15x6.5 tyre, what tyre width should i go with? 205 or 195/50/15?? What are the advantages and disadvantages of each? Will be purchasing RE001s.
Hey guys.
Looking at 2 new front tyres. dunlop lemans lm702 or Bridgestone potenza in 195/55/r15. Has anyone used this tyres, both are the same price, im just wondering which would be better?
thanks in advance :)
pontenza g3 are noisy as all hell
i try GIII b4 i was ok with the noise level n the best is the wet grip about GIII esp when is less then 50% life it still hold like near new. which other tyre just not so good. I think GIII is off production already so can't buy brand new
i hv friends using dunlop lemans they r a bit more quiet n also good dry performance but i never tried it in wet.
for me i would go GIII
How noisy is noisy, i can't stand noisy tires :(
Thanks for the input bc143, did you find that dry performance was about the same for the g3 and the lemans?
When are more coming in :(?
u got pm
but to be fair, not all potenzas are noisy,
thanks Ali.
Can anybody confirm the stock/OEM specifications for wheels/tyres on
DC5 base, DC5R?
I think they are both 6.5 x 16 205/55/16 but the speed rating is different (91V on base, 89V on type-R). Is this difference between the two important?
Guys, need a help on will 235/45/18 fit on 18x7.5... will it stick out from the rim?
thanks heaps...
anyone tried hankook ventus rs2? good? better than t1r so ive read on the net. t1r is my current tyre.
bit too late for me to ask maybe as im getting them this saturday lol...
gabe, why dont u geat cheap tyre for daily, and good tyre for outtings?
Quite a few questions that seem no one border to ask....well..
In 99.99% of situation, there is no difference between 91 and 89 load rating. It will matter if you have 5 people, boot full and towing a boat.
Whether a rim stick out of the fener depends on the offset. Google and learn.
Ventus R-S2 Z212 does have a higher performance in pretty much all category than Toyo T1R. But, it may wear faster than T1R.
Hey everyone,
My rego is coming up in April and i know i'll fail if I dont replace my tyres. I have 17" rims that take 205/40/17 tyres. I was looking into using directional tyres, good grip dry and wet, for daily use, fairly quiet ride, and not thrashed ie. burn outs etc. (but I do turn hard-ish sometimes...) and only looking to spend $100-$150 a tyre not including alignment.
I've noticed that tyres become obsolete over time so a lot of this thread might be out of date, and lately it's been mainly performance related tyres discussed.
Thanks heaps for future replies!
kenske: a good budget performance tyre especially dry, and a little wet. is Kumho Escta SPT's Ku31
thanks for the recommendation "cb7 owner", looked them up on the net and seem to get good reviews for the price, now gotta shop around for the cheapest price
whats the difference between BS Grid 1, 2 and 3?
Don't mean to hijack the thread, but I have just one query, I have 16"x7" wheels. I currently have 205/45/r16 on them and I want to know if I can get 215/45/r16?? Would hey be more expensive and have more grip?? I have Dunlop Derezza DZ101 I think...
BF Goodridge - g-Force Sport - 205 40R17 = $165 per corner fitted - jax quickfit
can someone help me out pls... which tyres are better for street use?
Hankook Ventus RS-2 Z212 or Hankook Ventus S1evo K107
thanks
s1 evo k107
the rs2 will wear out faster as it is more performance orientated than s1 evo k107. rs2 has a wear rating of 200 and s1 evo k107 280.
but if you want better grip the rs2 is better.
actually what did u want in a street tyre? some people want something that will last longer and have less road noise while others only want all out grip... really depends what you want.
noobie question, is the wear rating printed on the tyre?
ok thanks again d15z1SUX, s1 evo k107 should be better tyres for me then..
> noobie question, is the wear rating printed on the tyre?
Do google search on 'UTQG' rating.
Nick.
i dont reccomend Hanook Optimo
anyone know of any 40 or 45 or 50 profile tyres for 14" wheels?
185 or 195 or 205 wide
> I did a search, but could not determine if it can be found on the tyre itself
Usually it'll say something like "Wear rating 280 temperature rating A traction rating A"
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/UTQG
http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tirete....jsp?techid=48
It's a useful rating, but not everything.
The biggest factor in (abnormal) wear is probably toe.
Nick.
PS > anyone know of any 40 or 45 or 50 profile tyres for 14" wheels?
aren't they go-cart wheels. he, he.
whats the biggest tyre possible to fit on a stock DC2 ITR rim?
I need new street tyre's, just wondering what I can look for, probably gonna get the RE001, bridgestone is my preferred choice. will a 205 fit?
Anyone?
